How long can I reasonably expect to survive without insulin given that doc prescribed me 6 units a day and the last injection was Thursday night (usually do it about 10pm).
Basically I moved from London to Wigan but forgot to pack the insulin. I had my sister send it by Special Delivery...
I think I can get it VAT free anyway, when I leave the UK. They mention that I need to order the 'correct type' regarding the units in which the measurement is given. But presumably it's simple enough to convert in your head from one standard to another?
I’m in the UK for the next month at least. And figured the strips are the iceberg under the tip.
If you do have an idea of which meters work with reasonably priced strips?
Yeah because basically I am on holiday, being here in the UK. And you just know that weight jumps when you let your guard down on holiday. Yours is a good routine though.
Yeah obesity/metabolic syndrome has put me in harm’s way in the past so I’m trying hard to avoid it. First pulmonary embolism and now diabetes.
I have given them the lowdown and they are fairly responsible; it was just a one-off treat.
Okay I have arrived in the UK and am quarantined at my sister’s house. There’s barely enough room to swing a cat though my son and I have some resistance bands and a pair of dumbbells. He’s a soccer player and almost 17.
Of course family are plying me with food, none of them are diabetic though...
I was diagnosed on February 26th this year. It’s now June the 9th and I have dropped 12kg. Mainly I imagine through a low carb diet. Recently I haven’t been able to do any serious exercise (weights/resistance training only) because broke my pelvis. But still dropping!
A good few years ago I...
Recently I was lucky enough to collide with a pedestrian and received a bit of road rash. The emergency room cleaned it up and put a dressing on it. Two weeks later the scab detached itself and I have another scar on my elbow to tell whoppers about.
But the doctor insisted that a new dressing...
This bloke thinks he won’t (paywall).
In your case, is there any reason to believe that vaccination will interfere with your medication or following lifestyle?
Henry Slade exclusive: 'I am not going to have a Covid vaccine - I don't agree with it all'
Fortunately until now I have never needed to travel with medication. Do airport security/border control agents require me to produce any kind of documentation proving that the drugs are required by me? I don’t imagine that they are controlled substances since my current country of residence...
Apparently good for joint and sprain pain? As a herbal remedy, yep. According to this anyway

I’m not opposed to the painkillers they have given me. Cheers anyway
I drop into a convenience store or small supermarket and pick up a precooked chicken breast, or a couple of blocks of tofu. But of course if you’re out in the sticks....I suppose I do plan routes where a 711 or Lawson is going to be.
I think we have similar diets. Soy milk, tofu, and fish are widely available here. Do you think that a Vitamin D supplement might accelerate the healing? It will be a 13 hour flight so I need to be fixed, even if rehab is not started.
