HbA1c

I have been suffering from type 2 diabetes for many years, so when I read on this forum that KennyA only ate approx. 20 grams of carbs per day on a strict LCHF diet, I thought that was not possible; you might as well just starve yourself. However, for months, my severe nighttime foot neuropathy had been preventing me from sleeping (& it was getting worse), so I had to do something. I reluctantly persevered with the LCHF diet & when I recently had my annual HbA1c test, I was surprised to find my BG had significantly reduced. My nighttime foot neuropathy has also virtually disappeared.
Thanks KennyA.

Well done! NB The one thing I don't do is starve myself!

The main attraction of LCHF over other lifestyle ways of controlling Type 2 diabetes is that you don't starve because you can eat as much almost zero carb food such as meat, fish, eggs, cheese as you want to.
I was an already slim T2D who loved food, so the last thing I wanted to do was starve myself.
In a few days time I will be 5yrs in remission and still enjoy the LCHF food I eat!
