What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Flood warnings here last night. Have only been flooded once thankfully but the memory lingers

Six point three this morning on libre

Definitely another layer of clothing day

Brrrrr…….

6.1 blood prick.. Dexcom is wonky….
Upper body, walk today at the gym. Very windy but warming today, it’s nice!
MRI results. Minor increase in dilation of my CBD and pancreatic duct. I hate that there is a change. I contacted my old doctor to ask for a referral for next year (specialist had recommended yearly scans) and she said she’d try but it would likely be rejected…seriously? WTH…I am so over this medical system here in Canada…
Most of our doctors are now virtual. Sigh…I must admit though that hubby needed a doc, got a virtual guy right away, he ordered X-rays, bloodwork and a prescription with all requisitions coming in moments. Bloodwork amd X-rays were received and they already booked him a follow up for tomorrow…I’m impressed. But…does this beat an in person doctor. Not sure…

When you say virtual do you mean AI or a video link ? If the former I hadn’t realised this was available current reality.

hope goes well, sorry to hear that specalist if recremmended yearly scans, for dr to say likely rejected? surely they can just book the following years appt themselves? doesnt make sense to me should be allowed to carry out their own recremmendations. Change can be stressful. However theres no point worrying about something don't have direct control over.

must admit would prefer video link appts personally. especially if means being seen faster with the added bonus no travel expenses ferry time etc etc. loads of upsides. not so keen on phone calls variant. seeing reactions imo is good, easier to tell if any BS or not. if its any consellation appears to be a global issue with appts in person alongside big wait times. gp appts here can take weeks calling first thing in the morning ... to usually get told none elft call back tomorrow ... issue being tomorrow never comes.

6.2 today. It got colder today, a we bit chilly out there. Just back from a nice dog walk, cuddled up in my chair. This morning was more upper body, bike ride and a short walk at the gym.
Hubby diagnosed as hyperthyroid today, interesting. He’s been having severe hip pain, hope the meds to decrease thyroid activity help. Oddly enough our son has been diagnosed with possible hashimotos (what I have) just a few days ago…
Enjoy the weekend!

5.5 breakfast. blaming the clocks going back for being a little above normal.
was out under the stars for a wee bit last night. cold crisp clear skies so nice to see.
