What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

My FBG this morning was 4.83 mmol/L. I also received my fasting lipid panel results: total cholesterol 136, LDL 70, HDL 59, triglycerides 33. My PCP said the numbers are excellent. For what it’s worth, I eat plenty of boiled egg whites along with 2–3 egg yolks daily. Happy Christmas Eve!

what unit of measurements do they use where you are for trigs etc? :)

7.5 flipping eck fed up now. Asthma played up yesterday for the first time in 20 years. Didn't warrant my blue inhaler but had a few Halls soothers and it helped. Still in the 7s and just checked and was 8. Sat here feeling sorry for myself and not hungry just stressed!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Yikes…it’s going to be bad. About 10 cm already and no signs of slowing.
5.8 today
Putting on my snow gear and going to tackle some of this mess….hubby and dog have been out already to do driveways (we are watching the neighbours house).

Can we have some snow too please, should it be going out for free! ;)

Oh, if I could, I would!
It’s kind of stopped now, just a few flurries. Total around 15 cm…maybe more. I shovelled for two hours then came in for lunch….where I continue to nurse a very good cup of tea. I need to go out again to reshovel, but it’s not too much.
Blood sugar wasn’t happy and went up to mid sixes the whole time I was out. Now I’m at 5.2
Merry Christmas to all

try this recipe for the lemon curd, https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/keto-lemon-curd/ using lowcarb pastry it might be something you can have the lemon curd is pretty tastey i add a little bit extra lemon rind to it finely grated for a zestier flavour they have a lemon tart recipe too on that page
Thank you for the recipe, I do make low carb pastry
I’m not temped by anything sweet, we cheated & used ready rolled pastry & a jar of lemon curds, cooking with a little one is not easy

6.1 this morning. A winter wonderland outside and minus three…not too bad. Lazy morning, as it should be.
Son will stay home, too dangerous as he would have to travel the most dangerous highway….the dreaded Coquilhalla Highway. More snow forecast later today and tomorrow.
Out for a wonderful winter walk soon.

5.7 this morning. Now mid evening. Had a great day at son's for Christmas lunch. On the menu, Beef, turkey, and Ham with lots of veg and trimmings, followed by dessert for those who had room and were able to eat it. I felt like a stuffed turkey myself after I had eaten! DIL bought me some chocolates for Christmas again! I tell her not to but she likes chocolate so thinks everyone else does too. I normally pass them on to my OH, except he has been diagnosed as pre-diabetic so that's not going to work in the future.

Grandchildren had a great Christmas with lots of presents. Both grandkids were well satisfied. Grandson was so excited waiting for Christmas morning, he hadn't been able to sleep. He'd woken his dad up at 12:00 midnight wanting to get up, then he woke him up again at 1:00, and again at 3:00. Dad wasn't too pleased! I thought he would be quite blasé about Christmas after all he is 16! But no, his excited was a joy to see. Amongst other things, I bought him a silly little stocking filler of some Grinch striped socks, he absolutely loved them, I was touched. Other grandchildren and their parents due to arrive for a visit later in the week. More excitement to come I hope.
