What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Amazed this morning as got a 6.0 on finger stab. No idea why as nothing major different yesterday and I am not daft enough to believe it is down to the Cgm. Funnily enough the Libre showed 5.4 so not hugely different.
Whilst very pleased with result, as always totally baffled as to why. Just so frustrating how diabetes seems to have no rhyme or reason on blood sugar readings.

Good morning everyone. My FBG was [emoji6].[emoji[emoji6]] mmol/L around [emoji6] am. Nice weather ahead with daytime temperatures around °C. [emoji] Have a great day!

I’m jealous of your day time temperatures!

6.5 this morning, still hanging on to the sixes despite an occasional drift into suspect carby territory, purely in the interests of science of course. :D
Always been a massive coffee drinker but trying to cut down although can't stand decaff options or tea. My wife trying to get me on flavoured tea but not a great fan of that either and did try green tea some months back but far too watery for me. Trying lemon and ginger with a teaspoon of honey which is a possible alternative and surprisingly doesn't spike my bloods, just puts a small bump on the graph. Grateful for any advice on suitable coffee alternatives and even abstinence tactics.

I’m a big coffee drinker. Haven’t found a way without. - I’ve tried just going out for coffee , there’s a lovely Portuguese cafe a short bike ride from me which serves great coffee and limits my consumption. Sadly they arnt open during the week during January.

I read that filter coffee is better for the body than French press , which I use . Maybe it depends why you want to cut down

My morning libre reading was six point one. After my first few sip of coffee is seven. More to do with being active than caffeine consumption I reckon

Good morning everyone. My FBG around 6 am was 4.61 mmol/L. I’m currently using my old Samsung S8 and have no posting issues. I do like my iPhone 13—it performs well and works fine on all other apps, except on this forum. Some users on the UK Diabetes Forum have issues. Have a great day!

Don't have car very shortly (for couple days) its away for its yearly mot speaking of which Got letter from hospital yesterday 'review' alongside another for eye screening. Going to call and try change both of them. Don't see the point with review, as gp surgery done just couple months ago. Eye screening seems very early well its a year after diagnosed.. eye screening was done mid march, so no clue why scheduled for start of feb. hoping to wrangle both appts same day. Rather than expense of going mainland twice.

Will see if they ok to shift it a month or two down the road or something.

Today marks 'first diaversay' hospitalised with dka & diagnosed. Bloodwork so so much better now! Honeymoon Period Advantage continues long may it last! :)
