My wife's family are spread over a wide area. Some in central Manila, some in the north (Isabella) and some in the south (Tayabas). Because we were living out of suitcases I simply forgot my insulin when re-packing. We are going back in June for a wedding so I'll have to be more careful.Good to hear from you @urbanracer ! I think I would have just toted a 30 day supply around with me? And a back up with the in laws in case something went wrong???
It's funny how we can forget something so important to us!!! A couple weeks ago I went through a phase of forgetting to take any insulin before I ate. Something I have to do everyday, every time I eat and suddenly I was forgetting. Maybe I was more stressed or something because I am back to normal, well, back to my normal! My wife's family are spread over a wide area. Some in central Manila, some in the north (Isabella) and some in the south (Tayabas). Because we were living out of suitcases I simply forgot my insulin when re-packing. I go away 4 weeks of the year to the canaries.I just made rosemary black pepper roasted potatoes wedges Saturday, pure delight!!!! But now you have me craving boiled potatoes with parsley and salt, another favorite of mine!!! And I still have some potatoes, so easy!!!!
By my reasoning. The errant 6mmol corrected for. Would be "breakfast."Lady luck strikes again.
Had a winner winner chicken dinner at 6 pm last night along with some free flowing red wine...hic
Woke at 5.30am on 5.2 flat lined all night and 4 hours later i'm still in the 5s.
Coffee and no food required.
That reminds me that elsewhere on a FB forum someone was in the 12s and decided they wanted some toast.
I asked why would you eat if in the 12s?
I certainly would not and the reply i got was "because i was hungry"....
I thought about this for quite some time and realised how diabetes has skewed my thought processes.
Forgive the pun but it was food for thought....
Happy monday
