What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all from a sunshiny L.A. where all talk of warmth is an AI deepfake AFAIAC (remember those days @alf_Josiah?) Fbg of 4.7 at 4.55 so the protein pasta didn't do much damage to my BG. Different story as far as £s are concerned but JKP only had to cook one meal. @Annb good news on the car starting. I hope leg day goes as well as possible then rest up. @dunelm you are a very naughty boy for sharing the wrong photo, Potus like. Thank you for sharing your art and bringing back some memories.
I’m thinking Tommy Coooper and Eric Sykes do Just a Knockout
This reminded me of 2 workmen: no top, shorts, flip flops, to you, to me style on the sloping, tiled roof of our apartment replacing an air con unit in Skiathos. Health and safety? @SlimLizzy good news on #2 son and progress on the house. @Krystyna23040 tut, tut for venting your spleen at a chatbot but it made I laarf. Tudor London was rocking last evening but how will the clash with Robin Hood's Greek style adversaries go on the Sabbath? Y'all enjoy a peaceful Thursday.

News arrived yesterday that Son2 will have the ICD implanted next Thursday . That is if he manages to remain infection free until then. If all goes well he might be home by the weekend.

Currently there is a nice tidy room on the second floor. Insulated plasterboarded and painted. New larger rooflight installed. The floor has been sanded, stained and polished.
This lovingly developed room is to be used for storing MrSlims extensive collection of tools. Maybe I will have something to stay about that.
Glad to hear that #2 will be receiving his ICD implant soon. It will be a relief for you all once that is done.

Of course Mr Slim's tools need a properly finished room. That has to be a priority. ;) Mr Slim and Neil would get on well - we have 2 tool rooms (one is a windowless room, so really a cupboard) and they are the only tidy and organised rooms in the house.

6.0 this morning.
It is so much better this week. It is lovely not to be overloaded with work and to have time to read and relax and do my sudoku
From a distance one is tempted to infer Mr K has finally made his independent/strong willed/headstrong spouse see sense. However ........ :playful:

MrSlim is threatening to kidnap me home. I understand that a great deal of work has been done on the house in my absence, and I appreciate the virtues of insulation, very much and understand that this will make the house more energy efficient. However the aesthetic value of restoring and painting the disgustingly mouldy and flaking doors on the second floor, as well as repainting all twelve of the doors and the stairwell, none of this actually makes guests more comfortable. I have been pleading for the family bathroom to being installed, but the disgusting doors were somehow more important.
Current facilities are ensuite to the guest (eventually master bedroom, badly in need of decoration) or downstairs.
Not convenient for either hosts or guests.
The end of May deadline is fast approaching when MrSlim has arranged a 'surprise" party with guests from the UK. So at least the bathroom needs to be finished by then.

Fingers crossed for the ICD implant. House moving along nicely and of course, disgusting doors take priority as an H&S risk, swiftly followed by a safe and pleasant environment for tools :):wideyed::eek:

Good nearly Thursday afternoon ‍, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars on waking were 5.6 .

I was lucky enough to be treated to a protein heavy breakfast this morning and then taken to Tesco’s and was ordered to sit in the costa koffy café, who’s a lucky boy?

Also I got chatting to a fellow motorcyclist who will be off on a ride of a lifetime to Turkey shortly, my thoughts were brave man, but he did have a very nice fully kitted out BMW GS motorcycle. No I’m not jealous, the motorcycle is too tall and heavy for me.

Good sunny, well darn sarf Saturday Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were 6.8, shock and horror

Today my exercise will be moving bags of peat free compost out of the boot of the car. Yes Mrs J has been shopping for her garden, but first I must slurp my tea.
Remember smile and the world smiles with you, stumble and fall over and the world laughs. Reminds me of the Plank that famous film.

Good morning everyone from the blistering tropics, climbing towards an astonishing 12 degrees of prime centigrade here in the dark and dangerous north.

5.6 this a.m. - must be the reintroduction of the word equinox from that 1970’s studio album by Jean-Michel Jarre.

The day, the weekend is a period without plan - which is great. A walk down through the woods sounds about right and then along the lower prom where going to the loo now costs a princely 30p - a massive increase upon previous years of being free - what a world.

Art bit - just a leaf.

Hope your day includes pleasant thoughts. Wherever you go, there you are.

Morning all from a sunny L.A where my Fbg was 4.4. @Annb hug for feeling so tired yesterday. @alf_Josiah I'll take your word for it that The Plank was a film but well done on being treated to breakfast and coffee. @dunelm thank you for sharing your art and enjoy your walk. I hadn't read or seen anywhere that Trumpflation had extended to Public Conveniences. Enjoy Saturday

5.5 this morning.
Really good that I had a 45 minute break between classes today.
So lovely to get a break.
Classes in Norwich went well and so did the zoom class when we got back home.
Then we watched the firdt two episodes of ITV's Gone. They were actually really good.

Happy Sunday Morening Ladies and Gentlemen

Blood sugars this morning were 7.6

Our local fusion reactor only a mere 7 light minutes away appears to be putting an appearance in, the water companies are already contemplating hose pipe bans in place of allegedly fixing water leaks, remember my posts are a mine of misinformation

4.8 at 03.30 today. 7.3 right now.

Still feeling poorly, but not as bad as yesterday so things are looking up. Another fairly idle day looks likely, but there are things I have to do so I must find some energy from somewhere. This is all the result of overdoing things the last few days. Must remember that next time I'm asked to do some baking and/or to go somewhere. I'd be quite happy just to stay indoors all the time and never go out at all - only, of course, because Neil is here to help and to keep me some kind of company (as much as he feels able as an Asperger's sufferer).

Morning all from a cooler than recently West Suffolk. Our MP is on the naughty step after making at best tasteless comments. My Fbg was initially 5.3 but a second view showed 4.8. What wasn't on my bingo card was the probable combination of tree pollen and too much protein causing my knees to swell and seize up. Bg is in the upper 5s too often as a result - :meh: @Krystyna23040 we binge watched Gone, nice twist in the end. Norwich was voted best place in the UK to live according to a recent survey. @Annb I hope you can rest as much as possible today. Fitbit tells me I had 21 hrs and 11 minutes sleep Friday. Enjoy your version of Passion Sunday, mine mainly depends on Igor managing to get a tune and result out of his lads. The lamb roast, Keely Hodgkinson, Pep's boys and the Villans winning plus plenty of tea and Naproxen will be important. Peace be with you.

We have now watched 4 episodes and are really looking forward to the next 2. Mr K is really suffering from the tree pollen this year, while I am not so affected. Usually it is the other way round.

5.9 this morning.
A really lovely walk around Gooderstone Water Gardens this morning. It was sunny and warm.

Sadly it is closing down on 3rd April. We have been so lucky to have visited it for many many years. It is such a magical place.

It was even more.magical today as two beautiful swans were also visiting the water gardens.

Good Morening Gentlemen and Ladies, striking a blow for male independence, not really, but never mind, morning Ladies and Gentlemen, that feels better.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.6, but not now!

Yesterday and the day before I had a most enjoyable time making the first of 2 child’s bench seats, from reclaimed wood. Bits of wardrobes, decking etc etc. I’m making these for neighbours who have young children. These bench seats are for outdoor use only. I don’t charge my reward is making them. Pictures may follow when I finish the first one.

Now it is time for me to be elsewhere, have the best day you can.
