What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

10.9 at 01.30 today. Not really FBG because I went to bed at 24.15. Back and hip wanted nothing to do with being horizontal so I gave up and slept in the chair. By the time I woke up again at 04.30 it was 8.1 so I'll call that FBG. Now in the 7's.

Wood has just been delivered for fence repairs and Neil has warned me that the way out is impassable for a while. That's OK. I have no intention of going out until next Thursday so he has time to clear it.
 
Morning all on a chilly start here in L.A. My fbg was 4.9 despite the incredible impact of Sainsbury's ibuprofen - its the coating wot done it. Talking of coatings, Totteringham were definitely on the end of one yesterday. The poor coach also learned of the death of a close family member. That apart, the football and athletics went as I wanted. I know there is so much death, destruction and future economic pain in the world but people still married, ate and drank up to the time of Noah - and continue to do so. @alf_Josiah your making of the seats and gifting your time shows there is still light in the darkness. Peace be with you all.

Lauren's not one to waste a holiday so a late rebooking to Gambia.....result .

Can't make anyone's day better, but maybe a little Gambian heat might brighten a day or two...

My Roadie (Mr K) forgot to load my briefcase with all my lesson plans for classes and 1:1s into the car before leaving for the classes in Norwich.

But (like the star he is) he sped back to our market town and bought them to Norwich and saved the day.
 
4.5 at 03.00 today. Into the 6's after a cup of tea and some pills. Still having huge problems with internet connection. It seems to be a problem of different standards between routers and pc's or standards between routers and internet connection. Our old router connects quite happily with our pc's but the internet won't talk to it, the new router is quite comfortable with the internet but won't connect easily or hold on to the connection while in use with our pc's. Then again, there is the issue of telephones. Both routers keeps disconnecting from them. Not sure what the solution is. Another router? But will it be any better? The whole thing has actually been worse since BT put in a new telegraph pole close to our house. They are unwilling to make any other changes because they intend, sometime in the future, to install an optical line. It's all very confusing to this 1945 model brain.
 
Good morning everyone from beneath the overcast sky here in the dark and dangerous north with promises of rain at some point - or maybe not.

5.7 this a.m.

Windowgate has now been written into the near history books and according to this record a splendid job was observed by all and any onlookers with special mention to the care taken with the eight pane pointed gable end.

Later, a construction task with The Girl in The Bubble - an Easter bonnet to take into school tomorrow. Rabbits ears are in vogue this year or so I have been informed as well as flowers - so a sort of Watership Down homage without all the drama to wear while parading round the playground, chanting about Eostre and dreaming of chocolate eggs.

Morning all on what seems to identify as Tuesday, at least until until further notice. My fbg was 4.6 - all very jolly I'm sure. I will be sending today's weather back to Amazon, using the label provided, since it is not at all as advertised in their latest spring catalogue. Also doesn't suit me, makes my bee you em look big. @jjraak seeing those photos, no one could possibly wish you were here. Have a wonderful, blessed time. @dunelm I hope you gave a 5 star review for #Windowgate. The Easter Bonnet making sounds splendid, shall you be writing a sonnet? @Annb hug for the IT compatibility issues. Peace be with you all. How did your poster do? your feedback is important to us.

My keyboard just failed! Just as I was going online to order a new router. Luckily Neil had an old keyboard (an Apple one, so a bit different, but I can cope) and plugged that in for me and guess what ... everything else is working fine - wifi, monitor, mouse - the lot! This keyboard is elderly, so I may need to get a new one but what a relief - it's all working! I still need the new router because our telephone still doesn't get on well with the existing one, but that is ordered now.

Well, that was a slight problem that I hadn't anticipated. This keyboard is missing a symbol that I use in my password for the forum so I couldn't log in. OK - change the password but how to get into the site without being able to key in my password? Finally found another document that had used that symbol and copy/pasted it into the password to get in. Changed now, so all's well but it taxed this old brain for a few minutes. I hadn't realised that the Apple layout was more restrictive that the previous one. The main keys are there but the extra ones that I am used to are replaced by others that I don't understand need eg ¬ or ^ and other things I can't even access. It is a very comfortable keyboard though with a very satisfying feeling of a key actually being pressed reminiscent of the old fashioned typewriter keyboards that I grew up with.

BG at 03.00 today was 7.4 but rose very rapidly to 8.2 on the basis of a cup of tea.
 
Morning all from a breezy and intermittently drizzly L.A. where spring is having an unsprung durch Technik moment. My fbg was 4.6 this morning after a very late for me bedtime of 1.20. JKP and #1 son were with 96 y.o. MIL in West Suffolk A and E until late. She is having blood tests and also a blood transfusion this morning. Hospital just told JKP her mum will be allowed out later today. She is highly motivated to attend the funeral of her granddaughter's wife who sadly collapsed and died in hospital last month while there for dialysis. Good news that Lamont D is posting. @Annb well done on solving the password change issue. @alf_Josiah nice Joan Armatrading reference there, hope the busy day goes well. Today is the Feast of The Annunciation but go easy on the carbs. Peace be with you all.

Yesterday was rather too busy as I am trying to fit in my 1:1s before my 2 week Easter break. Obviously it is my punishment for taking 2 weeks off :)
After the Norwich evening classes we watched the last two episodes of Gone. What a brilliant series.
