'Fraid not. The idea is to replace the supporting bandages with these wrap things and so save me having to go into the GP clinic every week for a nurse to do the bandaging - cheaper for the NHS as well.Would woolly legwarmers work for you? Much cheaper.
5.8 and 41 hb1cGood to hear progress, even if slow is being made @Lamont D
Not the same, but I found while a visitor was nice (I was the other side of London, not a nice journey for family )
The thing I did enjoy more was just a call, someone speaking about daily life that wasn't all "how are you " driven.
I wonder if you have managed to talk via phone to Mrs L yet ?
Like the others on here, wishing all the best. Hoping for a continuing recovery that gets you where you want to be asap .
Best wishes fella.
Fbg to follow, in bed & chasing up meds that haven't been approved, as yet...ggrrr.
When I was teaching yesterday everyone had lightweight tops on. I was the only one with a jumper on.I am still wearing jumpers. Warm day cold wind. Always chilly in a wheelchair.
Thank you@Pipp for your kind words and advice. I have messaged Freestyle about a replacement sensor already but I will look into the Dexcom free trial. I think it involves getting a prescription from the GP but I'm not sure. Yes I do use an adjustable lancet tool and always use the sides of my fingers. It's good to be able to post here again now that I have fbs to add. I am waiting for a follow up appointment with the Diabetes service armed with my testing results but am told it will probably not be until July or later. Best wishes.6.1 for me today.
Good to see you back posting, @dogslife. I would push for a replacement sensor if I were you. Also , you could request a free trial of the Dexcom sensors?

re the finger stabbing method. Are you using an adjustable lancet tool, set at the minimum level? I use the Accuchek FastClix, and aim for the side of my fingers, as this causes minimal, if any, discomfort.
