Lost Focus in Hot Weather

Recently due to extreme hot weather two problems did not focus enough so bit of weight gain. Second problem skin very dry to the point of annoyance. Coupled those 2 things with Glucose Monitor not certain if correct ( sent for same make) but new with control solution so I can try and re focus. Not 100 per cent sure may have Fatty Liver currently on Metformin 2 tablets a day. Have been under active thyroid for many years take Levoxythyroxine 175,micro a day plus Ramipril and a type of statin. HBA1C due fairly soon. On my blood monitor there was a way of looking at probable 90 days average. Does anyone know if Glucose Monitors have to be changed after say 5 years and can anyone suggest an easy to find good skin cream moisturiser that's a reasonable price in the UK.
 
Can't help with the glucose monitor (I thought they only lasted a month?), but go to your pharmacy and ask for a tub of aqueous cream, which is very cheap and unscented, and is a very good moisturiser. It's a bit heavy for facial daytime use, but makes a great night cream. If you want a cheap face cream, go to Lidl, who sell a range very cheap and (in my opinion) extremely nice!

Can't help you on the moisturiser as no personal experience but my first glucometer (Gluco RXQ) lasted about five years. The button spring broke rather than anything going wrong with the technical bit, so it's possible they could last much longer.

@Rachox has a list of current makes but I don't think there's any info on likely or expected operational life.

If there is a choice of units of measurement then ‘mmol/L’ are the standard units in the UK, ‘mg/dl’ in the US, other countries may vary.

Thank you for reply I have been using a glucose which suited me, just felt readings were a bit off (could be me). Sent for another as pretty sure needs replacing - will use control solution to try and solve. Changed battery etc on old one, could not see damage or anything. May contact
product place in Guildford to ask, average life span. Thanks Again PS Think I will ask Rachox about Dexcom possibly too.
