What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

02.00 today. Libre wouldn't work. I knew it was coming to an end but I thought I had some hours in hand. Anyway - took off the old sensor and got out the fingerprick kit, which also refused to work. Gave me an E-7 message - I've forgotten what that means and lost the instructions years ago. Gave up. At least it didn't feel as though I was in hypo territory. About half an hour later Libre sounded an alarm because it couldn't find a signal. Too late - my hands are not working well enough to break open the new sensor and Neil is asleep. Tried the fingerprick monitor again and it worked. Gave me 6.3.

Left hand is slightly better and controllable with paracetamol.

Morning all from what seems to be one of the last two or three days of this summer. here. My FBG was 4,8 so perhaps this odd bug may be starting to fade away - but not radiate. @Annb hug for all those issues this morning. Glad that at least paracetamol work for you. Peace be with you all.

Glad that the bug is beginning to ease off Ian. Hope the same can be said for JKP.

Morning all on a gloomy start here in L.A. where my Fbg was 4.9 then the sensor fell off. I will take a short break from posting as I have a scan on the 16th and sensors are not recommended wear for that party. I will lurk meanwhile and will resume readings after the scan. Peace be with you all.

Good morning to you all. My last reading was 9.4 before my sensor stopped working. I have just removed it from my right arm. My new one hasn't arrived in the post yet. I may delay attaching it to my left arm until after my flu jab in that arm so unless I resume finger pricking before my breakfasts I won't be allowed to post for a while. Best wishes to everyone, especially those who are suffering and here's hoping you feel better soon.:)

Morning all, 7.1 this morning.

For other medical reasons I can only wear sensors and have injections on my right arm. I’ve often had flu and Covid injections in the same arm as my libre without any problems.

Thank you@Lakeslover for letting me know that there shouldn't be any problem wearing my sensor at the time of my flu injection. It has helped me to make my decision.

5.9 this morning. Am feeling a bit tired today as I am doing as much as I can of Mr K's jobs so that when I am teaching classes he doesn't try to do too much.I

He is being sensible now and not overdoing it as he wants the fractures to heal as quickly as possible. It will be so lovely when everything gets back to normal

5.8 this morning.

My sister came over to do the admin this afternoon. She did the letters to my venues letting them know how many hours I hired the venues in September and what I was paying them.

She also did the mileage we had done. I paid the venues and then paid myself the mileage. I paid the venues correctly but made a huge mistake with the mileage

My sister totals up the miles travelled and underneath that total she types the amount I should pay myself.

Instead of paying that amount I paid myself the total miles travelled which was double what I should have paid.

So a real 'senior moment' :):)

We will use the overpayment to pay for October's mileage. So no harm done

Blood sugars this morning are 10.7, a little high.

Good happy Friday Morening, here in Tilehurst Towers it is forecast to be wet so it will be indoors tasks today.
Tea followed by koffy are calling.
Smile and the world will think you’ve lost the plot, now it’s time to start my life.

5.9 this morning
Have tried messaging @Annb as I was concerned that she hasn't posted since Tuesday. I do hope she is ok. I did wonder if her libre has failed

This made me wonder if we could change the title of this thread to - 'more chat with or without fasting blood sugar.

Annb also posts here where there is no requirement to post fbc, but again her last post was Tuesday.

Blood sugars this morning were 8.2 and now 7.9 !

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen I had delightfully decadent morning, me, me’s and myself didn’t get out of bed till 10:58, wonderful .
Colder weather must be arriving, Mrs J has ordered some painting canvases and I will in due course post them.

Now I must depart to shed and clear space.
