Well done!! Share the secret please
Theres no secret i'm just one of the lucky ones....
My body which is a bit old and a bit knackered responds very well to activity and by that i mean plain old walking.
My libre is proof.
So all i do is match the insulin with the walking and add the carbs along the way.

Changing to tresiba has taught me my body still reacts to the walking and in actual fact it reacts more predictably.
When my level starts to drop after a greater amount of activity i stop and my levels even out and exactly the same if my levels begin to increase i get a wriggle on and my level even out.

Its quite remarkable really and the trick was to get the tresiba amount correct.

I am just about to start moving a bespoke shelf i've just made to its new home and fasten it together and this involves alot of activity so i am eating gf biscuits and a coffee.
Levels 5.7 and i predict in another hour i will be level.
I am my own boss this week as our school is empty so i could just sit here at my desk and do nowt but i wouldn't have eaten the biscuits.

Its all simple stuff and i'm not trying to insult anyones intelligence but it does work for me.

Onwards and upwards

Morning
Yesterday my levels did as predicted and this morning i have a flat graph and stayed in the sixes overnight.
I'm still a bit obsessed with my numbers and have had 45 scans/views per day over the last 7 days.
I'm forever checking my steps too and do wonder is it me or the tech thats driving my diabetes??

I shall give up mentioning my tresiba exploits on here and confine the subject to the other post on the change from levemir.

I have tomorrow off and looking forward to a long weekend where amongst other things i shall be making reindeer out of logs for charity.

Happy times and places

Tony

Thanks for the info @Tony337 and welll done you.
How do you get the Tresiba right ?
and what do you mean by
"So all i do is match the insulin with the walking and add the carbs along the way." and l"Levels 5.7 and I predict in another hour I will be level"?

My neighbour Mike and sister Yvonne are both type 1...
Mike takes 7 units of lantus and yvonne takes 24 units of toujoo and i take 16 units of Tresiba...
3 different people 3 different insulins 3 different amounts.

For me its a simple equation involving 3 factors...
1.Insulin
2.Walking
3.carbohydrates

For me the background insulin keeps my sugar levels in the 5s but the walking brings my levels down ever so slightly so i get to a point where i need a small amount of carbs. 10g ish.
So me taking a biscuit before i get moving sends my levels up for the exercise to bring it down and stay level.

TBH it sounds like alot of effort but its become like breathing to me and i was very worried about the forced insulin change.
I have a tendency to eat 1 large meal per day as it suits my levels.
I mention Mike and Yvonne and me to make the point we are all different but but but me and Mike, whilst on different insulins, have better hba1cs than Yvonne and are both in good shape for our ages.
I hope this makes sense and as usual (i worry alot) i hope not to insult anyones intelligence.
