Hi Everyone, Im not sure where to start, My son is 6 for about a year now my son gets ill for a few hours (abdominal pain, vomiting, eye sight etc, We took him to Hospital his glucose level was 11.6 Keytones was high. This happens around 6 times a month and getting more regular as the months go. Well we did a glucose tollerance test, can any one help with the results please?

0 Minutes Oral glucose test <2 *non obese fasting adult range upto 60mmol* and C-pepide 239 *reference range for fasting adults with normal BMI**174-960... ??

30 Minutes Oral glucose test - 7.6
60 Minutes Oral glucose test - 6.8
90 Minutes Oral Glucose test - 6.9
120 Minutes Oral glucose test - 5.3
150 Minutes Oral Glucose test - 6.8
180 Minutes Oral glucose test - 2.8

Another blood test shows his Inorganic phosphate is higher then average?.1.83mmol reference rang 0.80 - 1.50

The doctor seems happy with all this (he aint a good doctor so im worried hes missing something) Hes now recently started loosing weight again, end of october he was 18.45kg, November he was 18.3kg, december he had stayed at 18.3kg.
We ended up in Hospital emergency again last week, His glucose level was 8.9 (they asked him to wash his hands, and he hadnt eaten for hours beforehand, and his keytones was 1.9

I feel like im going out my mind. Expecially with worry, I really dont know if its diabetes, or weather im hearing too much, or a second opion. Anybody else know what results mean and what i could possibly do next? Thank you.

Hi. I'm not a doctor and am not able to really interpret the results, but it looks suspiciously like Type 1 diabetes. His blood sugar is elevated when it shouldn't be and he has ketones at times which he shouldn't have. What did the hospital say about this when you went to A&E? Did they give your son any insulin? If not, how did they treat him? Your GP appears to have taken various blood tests but not given any diagnosis. If he is unable to provide a diagnosis then I would be inclined to either ask for a second opinion or ask to be referred to a specialist. Having ketones with elevated blood sugar can be dangerous if it goes too far so you really must try to get a diagnosis. Make sure your son has plenty of fluids and do test his blood sugar regularly

I agree with Daibell, you really need a second opinion, ask to see a endocrine specialist.
