    Prescription woes

Go to your doctors and tell them you need your meds immediately. they will have to get you your prescription there and then. do not take no for an answer. I also now collect my own prescription for this very reason.

    Protein shakes

They are OK with full fat Greek yoghurt and a few berries and nuts thrown in but not so good just with water. I avoid milk due to lactose. either way go online and choose one based on the carb content as you would with any other food. be careful as some have a lot of added sugar. buy from Amazon...

What weight loss can I expect?

If you have not lost weight on your 'strict' LCHF then you may have to take a look at your calorie intake. Generally speaking this is not needed on LCHF however especially if you eat a lot of nuts and cheese then this would be my next port of call. By the way when you say strict how many carbs...

Who is right? Diabetes UK or the NHS?

In short and possibly slightly reductionist. Anything that increases your insulin above a certain level will invariably make you ill over time, particularly starchy carbs as they will increase insulin beyond your bodies ability to cope for a significant number of people. From this we can...

Any other UNDERWEIGHT T2s out there??

I couldn't agree more but at some point we need to give ourselves time to 'acclimatize' to our new way of beeing. Relax into our new bodies and accept ourselves for who we are not what we are perceived by others to be. We are so much more than what people see and what we eat.

Any other UNDERWEIGHT T2s out there??

The way I see it you can allow your body to set its own weight albeit in your case a little low. Or you can increase cheese and nuts etc. but you may be in danger of making yourself miserable in the process. Especially if your eating when you really don't want to. good luck with whatever you decide.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I don't do breakfast on a weekday but had lunch at 12. boiled ham, 2 boiled eggs, coleslaw and pickled beetroot. I tend to alternate between boiled ham and tuna mayo on this meal. :-)

    Fed up :-(

I had my gall bladder out years back. I can honestly say it has caused me zero problems and have been eating at least 100g of fat per day for nearly 2 years. So I agree you may have no problems with LCHF.

    VLC and veggies

I'm the same, I will only eat fish if I have eaten a lot that day. if I have a light lunch then I'm having steak, avocado and eggs...Not a disaster :)

How much food do we actually need?

That's about four days worth of food. a sumo wrestler eats about 10,000 a day.

    Hospital Menu for diabetic person

OK my last post was deleted by a moderator so I will try again. If you have certain religious beliefs then your dietary requirements are met. With this in mind I do not see why LCHF cannot also be catered for in a far more nutritious way than eggs and turkey. I spent 3 months in hospital after a...
