I'm not sure if i've any advice to offer really , I can't see much reason to keep on battling but it's important not to give up. Depending on where you live , could you not find a christmas job?

I have a check up twice a year at hospital and can't stand it. The layout of the room is horrible and it takes ages so i'm there at least 90 minutes. Last time I struggled to give a urine sample so had to drink water and wait. It would be nice if the results were sent to you a week later

Can somone answer , please? I have a box of strips that say "2011 09". Is it ok to open them and use them? Can I test for protein in my urine at home? If so , where would I buy the test kit from?

Mr Tito- I hope you ca find support. It isn't easy- i've a lot of issues that I just can't find support for- but maybe calling CAB will help as you should be able to claim something.

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn 4.8 which is good considering. Shame I had to avoid dinner for a normal result though :(

Nice to see some positive news! Some healthcare professionals come across as novices where Diabetes is concerned. Knowledge shouldn't only come from books , you should actually listen to patients' experience and results too as Diabetes isn't a neat disease.

Sorry to hear that fed-up , hope you can find some answers soon. The update is i'm now waking up with readings of7-9 , very dsappointing but kind of expected. I will call them this week.
