    Always depressed... Suicide awaits

Thank you for all of the kind words you have all given. I do feel guilty, I don't know why I even wrote anything.

I'm sorry I feel like this and I know you all have it too. I actually feel bad feeling like this and know that other people have it and that other people also have worse things. I really am sorry.

    Always depressed... Suicide awaits

I don't want to see anyone and waste their time. I just don't want to even be. I've tried for a long time to cope but it's getting worse and I don't want to do anything about it now.

    Always depressed... Suicide awaits

When I saw a councillor for it they told me that my problems weren't as bad as others and I felt ashamed to be seeing her. So I don't feel I can talk to anyone.

I know that diabetes is affecting me and one day it will cause major problems in my life. I'm sick of diabetes and having to cope with it. I don't want to do...

I just can't do it anymore, it's been nearly 10 years... I have suicidal thoughts

Hi there, I am currently in the same position as you. I've had diabetes for 17 years and I am completely depressed with it. It's very difficult sometimes and I am suicidal a lot with it. I completely know how you feel xx

I have to be honest though I am the same. I just started a new job and I feel unconfident doing injections in front of them! It's hard isn't it?! My partner doesn't understand why I feel like this but I just say to him "you wouldn't understand, it's a diabetic thing" haha. I actually managed to...

    No support

Thanks for the reply! I did in fact get in contact with a nurse and now I actually have a DSN! She has given me advice on splitting my long term insulin and so I'm doing that currently. I think they are also setting me up on the DAFNE course, which should be great too. It took me ages to get to...

Hi @himtoo When seeing the consultant I said I wanted to talk about the omnipod and also my control. The consultant put me off getting one as he said they wouldn't be able to afford it for an adult. He also told me I was out of date and that I was dealing with my diabetes wrong.... But instead...

Interesting how you leave your lectures. Don't feel embarrassed, I know it's hard though. Well I went to hospital and the consultant I saw was no good. He told me how I wouldn't be able to have pump as they don't support adults. He said that is was a lot more expensive and they find it difficult...

@SamFergusson Yep it was a nightmare with a wire- getting caught on door handles and the pump falling out of the bed and the wire getting pulled out! Hhaha. Random!! I am 25 and have been diabetic for 17 years. You beat me! I'm guna see the hospital tomorrow and I hope that they are...

Thanks for the comment xx I will have to try the hospital out and see if they are supportive. Otherwise I'll try somewhere else. I don't know anyone in this area but would be nice to meet another Diabeto! Xxx

Late type 1 not type 2

I found that going on a carb course was such a great help. It really let's you understand how to control your insulin and foods! I'm sorry you have to cope with diabetes and your kids, but over time you will get use to it, and you will understand it more. Don't be so hard on yourself, you are...

Yeah I will let you know how it goes! I'm hoping it's going to be the right thing for me. When I use to have a pump the wire always got caught and it just didn't work with someone so clumsy! How old are you? If you don't mind me asking and how long have you been diabetic? Xxx

I think I was similar to how you are describing, not that I didn't take the illness seriously but I was not mentally fit to use it!! I am looking forward to seeing what they have to say tomorrow about the pump. I just hope they will be good support. I haven't even been to the hospital here...

I just wondered people's opinions and how they found it without a wire! Seems like a good pump, I wanted to ask about the pump to see if anyone has had a problem with it?! X
