    Muscle cramps

The statins could be the culprits, it’s a known side effect. I would speak to your Dr, a different statin may not cause aching muscles. I'm now on Rosuvastatin 20mg. As an aside I have suffered with aching leg muscles for several years. Long before I started taking statins. I did speak to my Dr...

GD Normal lipid panel but high Lipoprotein (a) results

Thanks @Bcgirl . That was a very enlightening Youtube clip. I drew the short straw too with my Lp(a) at 192 nmol/Ls nearly double the upper limit. I went to my Dr with Restless legs (RLS) , which I have never had before, this was keeping me awake at night. Plus I complained of being a bit...

    C reactive protein and eyes

I believe C-Reactive Protein levels has its own test. It does in Canada . It comes under routine chemistry which does cover other liver tests like Alanine Aminotransferase etc

    C reactive protein and eyes

C-Reactive proteins are made by the liver . They increase in response to inflammation in the body. They are often listed on a blood panel as part of a general health check up. Here is a useful exert from a scientific paper on the relevance of C-Reactive Protein levels 'C-Reactive Protein...

Very Low Blood Sugars, Not Increasing With Carbs

That is a great update @hardergamer . What a nightmare for you, but you have a diagnosis which is great. Your medical team came through for you.

@Helen40 are those CRP figures in mg/L or mg/dL ?

    Type 3C with colitis

I agree with @Antje77 . Controlling diabetes with diet concerns D2 diabetes where the body produces too much insulin to counter insulin resistance. You will be more like a T1 with no insulin production.

    Easy To Make Pesto

That sounds like a great alternative @Antje77 . Nettles are hard to come by here. I'd have to purchase the seeds, but I wouldn't mind trying them.

GLP1 Six in one Health solution Oral Liquid

Hi there @AnneLehva , it looks like it's a scam. I did a quick look on Google. The reference to GLP is misleading. Here's a link from The Guardian talking about misleading ads on GLP1 supplements...

    High ldl calcium plaque artries

No doubt. I take statins @Westley. They brought my cholesterol down to normal levels. My ApoB results are great. Sadly my Lp (a) results are very high, but that is genetic and from what I've read, nothing to do with diet.

    Newly diagnosed with type2

Hi @Lynntay and welcome to the forum. A T2 diagnosis always seems to come from nowhere, usually when you are having general lab work done for something completely unrelated. In many cases people are totally unaware they have raised blood sugar levels, no symptoms at all. Some people however, do...

Type 2 Creatin as a supplement I am considering a low dose to help with muscle loss alongside resistance exercises, I am also taking metformin age 78

@Training1947 I'm a 64 yr old female. I take the powdered form, the pure creatine, nothing added. 5 mg daily in milk. My Dr prescribed it as my muscles are always sore and I felt some brain fog from the statins. I also noticed a decrease in creatine on my general chemistry lab work. I hike the...

Type 2 Creatin as a supplement I am considering a low dose to help with muscle loss alongside resistance exercises, I am also taking metformin age 78

I use Creatine Monohydrate 5mg on the advice of my Dr. I do a lot of exercise so it helps with muscle mass. It also, apparently, helps with brain fog. I can attest to that, it does.

    Slightly confused

I also think it is an academic argument too @Dave Metric . As far as I am aware your pancreas can still be producing some of its own insulin and you would still be 3c.

    Easy To Make Pesto

I always make my own pesto @Zixx . Here is my recipe. 1/2 cup of olive oil. I use the extra virgin oil 1/3 of a cup of freshly grated / grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Available in any supermarket. I'm quite generous so I use a but more. 1/3 cup of pine nuts, but you can swop out pine nuts...

    FreeStyle Libre 14 day

I wonder if Abbott uses a different manufacturing facility for European countries. I'm in North America. I have had none of these issues. Yes, the sensor sometimes drops the signal, but it's still reading the data. I rarely get a faulty one.

    Slightly confused

That's a difficult one @Dave Metric . I would have said Type 3c , but your pancreatic surgeon said not. Who am I to go against your specialist's opinion. I still think 3c. If the destruction is not autoimmune related then it's not Type 1. You are left with Type 2, which is a category they put...
