    Pump recommendations

Hi there I had this trouble when first using the Insight I changed onto the Flex Cannula and tubing and use their inserter which I swore I’d never use, but it’s O so simple nowadays I don’t get any problems. The cannula is Teflon, the inserter is plastic and noisy but it does the job [emoji736]

    Type 1 Genteel lancing device

I’ve been using AccuChek fastclix for some time I’ve found from over the years of testing this has got to be my best one definitely. It gives you a choice of settings, and it definitely encourages you to rotate drum and use a new needle like we should!! Best thing totally on prescription

    Agghh Dreaded Keytones

Hi everyone my pump alarm went off at 1am “cartridge low” which leaves me with 25units till morning, normally I’d deal with it the morning I woke at 5.30 and knew something was very wrong. I’d disconnected my pump and some how managed to get an arm out of my tee shirt, and pulled my underwear...

NHS England announces increased FreeStyle Libre access

Because my Hba1c is consistently around 6.0 my doctor says I’m controlled but only with my damned hard effort and lots of other conditions and complications. I’ll probably also be turned down even after 43 years of testing and pricking my poor old fingers gawd knows how many times. I feel as if...

Libre in London - Some Analysis

Funny, I handed in three letters I composed about the benefits I could get with my Libre if the Sensors were funded by my Surgery which comes under THURROCK into my doctors this morning as I meet the criteria according to my diabetic team. Hating my new pump

So sorry that your finding the insight a nuisance at the moment. I had a lot of problems when I first started on it, and I did complain to ROCHE on several occasions and I'd been pumping for 15 years previous without any problems with them. But as the saying goes patience is a virtue, I'm...
