    Blood in eyes

I do not recall doing anything. I did not notice it this morning and I would not have tonight had my bf not pointed it out. As for my sugar it has been high. We are going to see how it is in the morning and then might go to eye clinic at the hospital. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Blood in eyes

Hi Just about 30 mins ago I was talking to my other half when he said: what have you done to your eye? You popped a blood vessel. I looked in the mirror and I have a red patch on the side of my right eye ball. I have no pain and can't see any floaters and vision is not altered. Obviously now...

    Which is easier?

I would definitely say older. I was diagnosed 10 years ago at 25. I wish I got it after I had kids rather than now my possibility to have any is practically none. Also 10 years ago I did not know of places like this one. Maybe with more guidance back then I would have done something about it...

Book recommendations / what are you reading

Re: Book recommendations / what are you reading I am enjoying it. I have not seen the film so can't compare it. It is based on a true story. I think it just took its time to get to the shipwreck bit. But I would recommend it :) Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Kick up the 'bum' please

This thread is going to make me cry :( I need a major kick in the butt. Running very high numbers, terrified of going to doctor or hospital. I last0 about two weeks on low carb and then fall off wagon. I feel it is a hopeless situation indeed. I envy those who have such a strong resolve because...

    MILK and Diabetes

If someone is lactose intolerant then lactose free milk is a good alternative. I used to enjoy milk but now i cannot. Although i mostly use almond milk in my coffee it is not as good to drink it on its own or to use in cooking Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

How much weight have YOU lost?

I have lost 5lbs this week. Does that count? I am hoping not to follow previous attempts and gain it all back this week - the only way has to be down Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    What figure do you count?

As far as i know American packing include the fibre within the total carbohydrates hence they deduct the fibre to get to net carbs. In UK the amount of fibre is shown separate from the amount of carbs hence there is no need to deduct it Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Binge eating?

No i know they will put me on it so i have been avoiding going for my check up. Thinking about how much weight i ll probably put on with insulin fills me with more dread. I an already overweight as it is. So it would be vicious circle of insulin more weight gain more insulin. I don't think i ll...
