Diabeties nurse, bullet proof protein and thank you.

Thank you- she was wonderful! Very encouraging and told me how well I have been doing. Totally on my side with the Lichfield diet. She feels if I carry on like I am I will be off the pills by Christmas. All my levels have made a 'dramatic' improvement in the few weeks since I was diagnosed! So...

Diabeties nurse, bullet proof protein and thank you.

It is my first apt. with my Diabeties Nurse today. I do hope she is in sympathy with the thinking I find on here rather than the 'healthy plate' which got me into this trouble in the first place. If I'd have known then what I know know and all that! Fingers crossed! I am finding all of you guys...

    High bg and porridge

Thank you everyone. Why is milk bad but cream ok? Or have I misunderstood? I've read that Greek yoghurt, cheese, cream etc are good things to be having on a low carb diet but not milk in porridge? Is there lactose in milk but not cream?

Thank you, please, why wouldn't it make much difference going by my 2 hour reading? What is 'prandial'? And what would be an acceptable hour reading to get? Sometimes it is much less? Sorry for all the questions, I am still new! Thank you

    Blood sugars still high?

Thank you. I have just read up on D.P. and it is interesting. I take my sugar readings sometimes through the day but have mainly been relying on the fasting test to get a ball park picture of how I am. I now realise I need a more comprehensive picture. I still feel my levels are too high but I...
