Slippers/shoes for hammer toes and normal width feet

Please can anyone recommend a website for slippers and shoes that are deep enough to accommodate slight hammer toes, but aren't wide fitting. They also need to be slip on. I seem to draw a blank everywhere with only needing a normal width fitting. Even the podiatrist is stuck.

    True steel cannulas

I like the true steel cannulas, but sometimes when I'm inserting them, no matter how much I push them in, the centre of where I'm pinching up my skin (i.e where the cannula goes in) dips into a hollow, so the cannula isn't fully in. I've tried pushing them in when I've stopped pinching the skin...

    Gp's work to rule

Has your surgery stopped doing routine blood tests as part of the above? I'm just curious, as I know this is on the list of things that was suggested they may do, and I'm a month late being recalled for one, which isn't normal. I'm not bothered by the delay, just wondered if anyone else had this...

Dexcom G6 reading too low on startup

Dexcom G6 is normally very accurate from the start, but started a new sensor with a new transmitter today, and it's bobbled around in hypo/too low land from the beginning even though I'm not hypo according to finger prick tests. I don't feel hypo and have good hypo awareness, so trust the meter...

Has anyone installed the latest Tslim software and changed to G7? If so, did you have any problems, and how have you found the G7 compared to G6?

    NHS text

I had bloods done last week at hospital for a hospital clinic appointment this week (now been cancelled as expected). All my diabetes care comes from the hospital, and has done all my life. Yesterday afternoon I got a text from NHS-No Reply, which read: Hba1c 46mmol/improved, repeat in 3...

    Tslim Control IQ and Dexcom

I got my tslim pump in February, along with Dexcom G6. I'm averaging 86 - 90% time in range, with no lows, and no very high readings in the last 3 months, but with 10 - 14% high, which is more than I'd like. Due an hba1c shortly, but Dexcom predicting 50 which is too high for me. I love...

    Hospital Retinopathy Clinic Appointments

Is anyone getting these appointments at the follow up interval the Consultant wrote on their letter from their last appointment? I've had laser surgery in the past, and was last seen December 2021, follow up in 4 months. I know there's a national shortage of Opthalmologists, and keep going up...

Tandem pump, Dexcom G6 and ?Xdrip

I'm getting a Tandem pump and going to be using Control IQ with Dexcom G6. Is anybody using Xdrip instead of the Dexcom App? Is it possible to do this? It looks as though you can't add as much info on Dexcom App, but any info on this would be appreciated.

    Tandem Pumps

2/3 months ago I saw an article about a new Tandem pump which they thought would be released early 2023 (delayed from late 2022). (It's not the mobi/sports one that can be worn as a patch or connected), but was very similar to the Tslim 2, just a few slightly better things. Of course now I can't...

    System Online

Pre pandemic, I used System Online to book GP appointments, and then of course when the pandemic hit, that ability was taken down. Sometime last year we then got the ability to view past and present appointments back, although still unable to make appointments online. However for a few months...

    DVLA!!

I filled in and posted my licence renewal on 10 December 2021 with the DIAB1 form for diabetes and V1 form for diabetic retinopathy all firmly stapled together. Both forms were downloaded from DVLA website, as I'd not received my renewal letter, but my licence ran out 22 Feb 2022. Have got proof...

    Foot on the floor drop

My blood sugar's started dropping by around 2.7 whenever I get up, even if that's at different times. It's not exercise related, and I was just curious to see if anyone else noticed their blood sugar drops when they get up?

    Pump Clinic Questionnaire

Have got a face to face pump clinic this week, and for the first time have got a questionnaire to fill in, and take with me. Any help as to how to answer would be appreciated. I know you can't give me actual numbers, but am anxious about filling it in. For some reason it seems worse than just...

    Miaomiao 1 warning!!

Last year I began to have a lot of issues with miaomiao unable to connect to phone for hours, or connecting and disconnecting after a short time. Eventually gave up and bought miaomiao 2, but left version 1 lying on the side. The other night I heard a noise and the front of miaomiao 1 and the...

Will a new miaomiao require starting from scratch?

Have used a miaomiao for nearly 2 years, but recently it won't stay connected, so assume the battery is failing. If I start using a new one, will I have to start setting it up from scratch, or will it just connect as per the initial one?
