    Suggest you print a copy of the Disibility at Work Act regarding diabetics and send it to your manager. Also print a copy of your companies bullying and harrassment policy and also send it to your manager. He sounds like an idiot. :evil:

    My GP changed my metformin to the slow release type. It is much better. Get your GP to change yours too.

    Gliclazide and rash

    Been put on gliclazide 80mg daily about 7 weeks ago. Developed a rash on trunk, legs, arms etc about 7 days ago. Went to a walk in centre today and was told it was the gliclazide. Have been told to continue taking it. Anyone else developed a rash when taking this medication? How long did you...

    Furious again!!

    I know it sounds mad, but one clinic in the NHS cannot access another clinics appointments. I think it is about confidentiality. Also clinic A would not be able to tell how many doctors clinic B had for that clinic, so would not know if they where overbooking etc.

    Any cure for hot flushes and other newbie queries

    This is not a cure, but I believe there is a product on the market called chillow - a chilled pillow. It might help with the hot flushes/night sweats a little.

    Metformin side effects

    Was on 500mg metformin bd, latest hba1c came back at 7.4, so the doctor has increased my metformin to 1000mg bd. Am getting quite bad side effects, ie. the loo is my new best friend. Also, cholesterol came back at 6.7. Anyone know a low carb, low fat diet or cookbook?
