My nutri bullet is my best friend as I make all my own nut milks! I tend to use a hand held stick blender for my soups as I can blend as much or as little as I want, I like a lumpy soup so don’t blend it much. I’ve got arthritis in my hands so can’t do a lot of chopping………did you mean...

    Smoothies

I did wonder about this, I don’t eat much fruit and wasn’t going for a fruit based smoothie, I think I may stick to homemade soups as I can see what’s going in that and then blend them somewhat.

Yes, I like mash so maybe I can try more mashed things…..unfortunately I can’t eat dairy but I do get the idea of putting in extra stuff for a more nutrient dense meal……

    HbA1c 38

Exactly! I think its cos of the risk of hypoglycemia, which is interesting for me, never had this problem before this, so unsure how to tackle this gently.......I do feel the effects of very low blood sugar but I certainly don't want to eat or drink something that would raise my levels...

    HbA1c 38

Ive just got my blood test results back and my HbA1c is 38, and it says I should aim for a target 48 mmol/mol....... Anyone heard of this? Struggling to lose weight

Having hypothyroidism unfortunately slows your metabolism, so it's always harder to lose weight, but it is possible! I find the only way i can lose weight, albeit very slowly, is to eat low carb. Having an underactive thyroid does predispose us to being overweight generally.

    AIP diet

This probably sounds silly, but I've been on a strict elimination diet for the last 3 weeks, for inflammation and weightloss. It's very low on carbs, and just lately I've been getting hypoglycaemia symptoms, but I just tested my blood and it was 4.4. I ate some chicken and veg maybe an hour ago...

    Code free code?

Hi, years ago I bought a codefree blood glucose meter, at the time there was a code for buy two get one free test strips. Do they still do this and does anyone have the code? I've lost my meter, so I need to buy a new one and Codefree have the cheapest strips at £7.99 for one pack and the...
