    Unable to get medication

I have now been without Semaglutide 7mg for nearly 5 weeks. Spoken to the Diabetic nurse and the pharmacy but just told there is a shortage. Apparently there is a national shortage of the drug to health club purchasing the drug for their weight loss clubs, anybody else having this issue??

    How much can I take?

I fully understand Riva and fully intend to do so but like many, getting an appointment just to talk to the Doctor is weeks, so I was asking if anybody else had had this same issue. I would consider myself intelligent enough to not to change the dosage of my medication just because somebody else...

    How much can I take?

Doctor put me on 10mg Dapagliflozin a day nearly a year ago now, in basic terms it makes you pee the sugar out of your body. A side affect of this for some people is Thrush and I am one of those people, so the doctor prescribed 150mg Fluconazole, this is a simple take one tablet job. But the...

Have you been asked to buy your own Blood Pressure Monitor?

Thanks all the replies, I am in the UK and it is not the cost of a monitor that has annoyed me about this. As per usual the doctors surgery has messed up the the appointments again having asked me to book a 3 month review (I can not remember the date of my last review which was in early 2020 so...

    Just bottled it.............

OK let me rephrase, I don't stuff my face with McDonald, KFC, biscuits, fizzy drink etc. I try to eat sensible food and sensible amounts, obviously some part of my sensible eating is not working. I am a stress eater, when stressed I eat. I have been known to eat an entire (big) packet of...

    Just bottled it.............

4 weeks ago I was put on Trulicity, I was very weary of it as a) I hate injection and b) I was unsure about the listed side affects. In the end I went ahead with injecting (once a week) the medication until tonight. I normally inject in the leg (there no way I could inject my stomach and...

    Diabetes Cookbook

Shopping in our local Lidls yesterday and I noticed they had a Recipes Book for Diabetics, it was only £2.50 so I picked it up. Seems to be a reprint of a German book (Lidls are German based), but what I like about the book is that is gives the K/cals & kJ, Protien, Fat and Carbohydrate per...

    Statins and type 1

Doctor put me on them when I was diagnosed with T2, after about 3 months I developed a very painful Achilles muscle strain. After 12 months of pain I looked into the issue and found that one of the side affects of Satins was muscle strain, so I went back to the doctors with what I had found and...

What are the signs of low blood sugar??

Thanks for all the reply, well I guess the feelings I had were not related to low bloody sugar. Mine was the fact that I became light headed and dizzy, not badly but noticeable, it pasted on both occasions after less than 30 seconds. Will keep an eye on it and report to the docs when I am next...
