    Metformin advice with sickness?

    Hello jfran. When I started on metformin I had real issues with my bowels and constant low level nausea. I then went onto slow release metformin and since then have had very little problems. If your bad stomach persists, it maybe worth asking your doc to change you onto this Good Luck, Jo

    You are absolutely right. I get a bit worried that whenever someone joins the forum, some members straightaway advise low carb. My advice is experiment and see what suits you and keeps your BS steady I am lowish carb and try to follow low GI diet

    Re payment for prescribing, it certainly is correct in my PCT If you are a Diabetic, bonus is paid for statins, asprin and blood pressure medication
