Is anyone watching the programme on the "Skinny Jab"?

I started to watch the programme, and got as far as the clinics she went to (don't want to say too much to spoil it for those who haven't seen it). It was making me angry so I stopped watching. Have to calm down to see if I watch the rest.

    Ozempic Supply Shortage

I managed to get my Ozempic today, so that's me ok for the next four weeks. Pharmacist had said earlier in the week there was no guarantee it would be there, but thankfully it was. Hate being in this situation, like the rest of you - stresses me out in case it's not there.

    Medication Review

Never, and I'm on quite a few medications (including a controlled drug).

    Ozempic Supply Shortage

I had to ring the pharmacy this morning re prescriptions I'd to pick up today and asked him about my Ozempic. My GP hadn't even bothered to order it for me. Pharmacist said he hadn't got any anyway. Rang the GP who ordered it there and then, called at the pharmacy later this afternoon and...

    Ozempic

An update after 6 weeks of Ozempic injections. Really impressed - Hba1c down from 77 (9.2) to 54 (7.1). Lost over a stone in weight - strangely enough from around my middle - that's where it wouldn't move from me before. Eating lower carb - no bread again, that was my downfall. I stopped...

That's interesting re the fasting glucose. My fasting glucose have never been better, mine were always high and nothing I did brought it down.

    Ozempic

At the end of the second week of Ozempic. Sugars are coming down nicely, weight is heading in the right direction. The first week I had awful diarrhoea, I thought this was the injection, but hubby had it too, was going around his work. Second injection was fine. My only symptom really is...

    Cholesterol levels

I had nothing over covid. No blood tests, no blood pressure checks, etc. Our doctors were only concerned about "emergencies". I said to one of our GP's there are going to be a lot of diabetics with problems down the line and she just said "I know". Recently had eye checks, but I didn't mind...

    Cholesterol levels

No, not a joke. We have 5 Health and Social Care Trusts. I didn't realise this until a few years ago when it was reported in the guardian for a court case and it apparently said it doesn't work. If you look at the hospital websites, GP websites etc you will see Health and Social Care Trust...

@ Paul_37 Well done you. Keep up the good work. I'm hoping it helps reduce my appetite too.

@Rooty Thank you for an honest review. Got my prescription and gave myself my first injection. We'll see how it goes from here.

    Cholesterol levels

I've just had my first diabetic clinic appointment in over 3 years (yes covid etc, now it's closed again for boosters). In that time my sugars are up and I need to deal with that. This post is about cholesterol. I'm in Northern Ireland and we don't even have the NHS - it's health and social...

Paul_37 Interested to hear how you get on. My doctor has today written me a prescription for it, have to pick it up yet. Reading around would put you off taking it, so I'm not going to read any more and give it a try myself.

Are others having their regular review cancelled?

Nothing here at all. Clinics were cancelled at the first lockdown last year and no word of diabetic clinic starting up again. I was told to make sure I get my eyes tested as they depend on the optician to do the screening now as there is none from the hospital via GP. I haven't the energy to...

    First agoraphobia, now this!

Hi isomertwin, It's ironic isn't it we get our freedom and then it seems like it's taken away again. I'm a type 2 with mental health issues, arthritis of the spine (top, middle and bottom!!), sciatica, among other things, find it difficult to walk far (and we live on a hill!!!), and I was in...

    Colonoscopy - Help!!

Thanks Ian. Apparently cauliflower and avocado are high in fibre. Fish I will add to my list. It's normally 3 days for the diet, but as I have problems "clearing out" I have been asked to do 5 days. My last one of 3 days didn't work. So I really want to give this my best shot of working...

    Colonoscopy - Help!!

I had one colonoscopy pre diagnosis. I hesitate to ring the department, you know what the NHS is like toward low carb - figure I'd get better help here for suggestions. Thanks everyone for your help.

    Colonoscopy - Help!!

It's all to do with the fibre. Looks like my diet will be eggs, cheese and yogurt. I can have cream soups, not vegetable broth or soup.
