    sweetener?

Stevia affects some people, I'm afraid. Why not test after leaving that out? Xylitol or erythritol might be better for you?

    Undiagnosed: Numbness After Consuming Carbohydrates

ALA might help. And don't eat carbs! Sounds to me like there might be a functional neurological thing going on as well.

SD Codefree meter- accurate or not

I used the Accuchek proforma for a year, then bought the SD codefree a few weeks ago. I've been feeling confused and a bit miserable since because of inexplicably higher readings ... I conclude my SD gives higher readings than my Accuchek. I'm going to get strips for my old meter and do double...

Keto Paleo - 4 weeks and no weight loss

I'd suggest having a look at Dr Jason Fung. I think fasting would help you, but because you're on insulin and medication I can't responsibly recommend you do it without medical supervision. Hopefully another member can help.

    Fasting for Autophagy

I did a few 3 day fasts last year, and lots of 2 day ones, taking only water. I'm a client in Fung's distance IDM program. I can't say I enjoyed it [emoji16] BG used to go to 3.7, with blood ketones of about 3.8. I do 20/4 or 16/8 every day now. Weight has been stable since October.

I've done it, now I'm fed up

Thanks everyone. You've all helped tremendously. My brother died recently and we had our beloved ginger Maine Coon put to sleep yesterday because he had inoperable cancer. My bgs are all raised, presumably due to the stress. Anyway, thanks again.

Does low carb make you low mood

Yes! I have no desire to subject homosexual folk to high temperatures.

I've done it, now I'm fed up

Sorry to moan but I wonder if I'm alone in not rejoicing at what's happened? Diagnosed officially 13 months ago. Saw my records ... been T2 since 2014. Fat AF. Lost over 8 stone. BG now normal if I'm careful about eating less than 30g carbs per day. Last A1c was 30. Yet I don't consider myself...

    Rancid pig fat

Not my thang either. They didnt exist in Scotland until recently. I tasted them in Nottingham 20years ago for the first time. In a pub. You could see the wee hairs. Freaked me out.

    Advice needed

9.6 two hours after eating seems high to me. I've never had that high since I was diagnosed, so your A1c seems weirdly low in view of that. Anyway, if you are prediabetic, or indeed if you are T2, you've come to the right place for help. You'll turn it around in no time! Best wishes.

Almost 29 hours into 48 hour Fast

I echo what bulkbiker said , and I'd add - don't make the first meal eggs! It gives a lot of folk the runs immediately after a fast.

As Lucozade has changed its recipe is there something else that I could use to do a DIY OGTT?

DCUKMod, how did you get on with your DIY OGTT? I ask because the DN at my surgery wasn't pleased at my A1c of 30 and over 8 stone weight loss, because I achieved it through low carb and IF. She said spitefully "But you're still diabetic. An OGTT would prove it. In fact, I'll ask the doctor to...

    Type 1 Fractured Fibula/Ankle

I broke mine as well. The ankle remained swollen for a couple of years, but it has been fine since. You only get osteoarthritis if the articular surface of the joint was involved in the fracture.
