    Post your annoyances to vent!

There is no way I'm letting anyone other than my partner and a few close friends know. I'm not going to have people silently scrutinise everything I eat.

I WANT TO EAT PIZZA HELP

When I was diagnosed one of my hobbies was making pizza so I miss that tremendously. With my trial CGM I wanted to test my home made pizza and found I peaked 6 hours later but didn't go back to normal until 10 hours after. So the plan next time is to split the dose into 3 and take quite a lot...

    Foot neuropathy and Dr. Bernstein

I found a small dose of B12 not very useful but have upped it considerably to 5 times the recommended dose. It is working very well now. There's actually no upper limit for B12.

For me 6.5 would be a little high making heart events more likely. But plenty of other people are ok with that level.

    Finished Diet

Unfortunately not. [emoji17] The danger period for any weight loss diet is when you finish. You have to work out how much more you can eat, but often it's not much more than the diet. Jenny Ruhl has a good book on diets and what works or doesn't work.

why am I so ashamed/embarrassed to tell/show people I'm diabetic?

I understand your reluctance to tell people. There's the judgement even if it's not your fault. Then there's getting lots of unwanted advice about food exercise etc etc etc etc. I hate that too. It's ok to feel reluctant to tell others. As is so often said here, we're all different. You need to...

    Quick breakfast question

I was on a premix and was constantly going high or low. I had to eat a lot more carbs than I was comfortable with. Having switched to basal/bolus I'm much more steady. And I have much more awareness of the effects of different meals on my BG. I feel so much more relaxed about the whole thing and...

Do this forum help us to understand each other more?

The reason there's a correlation between obesity and type 2 is that they're both located on the same gene. http://www.phlaunt.com/diabetes/14046739.php

    Weight gain

I was put on insulin in April and have lost weight since then. I'm not sure why - maybe I'm exercising more and eating better. I'm also on Jardiance, and one of the bonuses with that is that you loose weight.
