    Swimming

My bg at the minute are not that great. I am worried of maybe getting things like a nail infection or athletes foot etc. I do have neuropathy and my circulation is not great so I am afraid if I get something it might not heal. Obviously I am looking at my diet as well. Ideally I want...

    Type 2 Heel cracks

I have been quite neglectful of things lately. Anyway with the warm weather I started wearing sandals etc. I knew my heels were getting dry but last Saturday I noticed a few cracks and my heels were very dry. I got some creams which I have been applying since and have to say that the skin looks...

How did you feel about switching onto injections?

I started insulin in July and have sine put 30 lbs on. It's very disheartening. If I exercise and follow low carb I might lose 1/2 lbs a week. I hate it. Don't know how to overcome insulin resistance plus sugar is still high so probably need to take twice as much insulin.

    Tingling in arms and feet

The last five days I have been having this weird sensation in my arms and feet. It's like tingling, like having something crawling under my skin. The only things that have changed in the last few days is that I started victoza. I am still on the starter dose. Also I have started controlling my...

How did you feel about switching onto injections?

The course is about eating exercising and generally how to deal with diabetes. I am sure they will be advocating eating carbohydrates etc. Plus I have been diabetic for 10 years as well. The hospital appointment went well. I am on victoza as well now so will see how it goes. I have gained 22 lbs...

Diet decisions NOT based on diabetes

I have been using Morrison supermarket and have to say that I do like their meat. I do try and buy free range eggs and I only get 97% sausages. I tend to be intolerant to milk and cream so I use almond milk or lactofree stuff but they are hardly ever on offer. Seem to be okay with cheese though

    Depression and Diabetes

I understand how it feels as well. I see my diabetes as a curse. The way I always hurt and punished myself was by binge eating. Not helpful at all. Now I have had to go on insulin and put 12lbs in 4 weeks. I know it doesn't help my depression. I blame my diabetes for not being able to be happy...
