I've been taking Metformin XR for 6 months with great glucose control. However, I'm having some terrible stomach/intestinal issues. Has anyone else experienced this side effect from taking Metformin?

Has anyone experienced weight loss while taking Metformin? It seems I'm hungry all the time. My blood glucose is well controlled. I'm wondering is it time to see my Doctor. I've lost 20 pounds in 4 months. Is that too much of a weight loss for 4 months. I would love know if anyone else...

Thanks all! @Alison, I'm allowed to start walking this week because of the C6/C7 fusion. I do feel a bit better each day now that my BG is pretty much within normal ranges.

Does T2 diabetes cause you to lose muscle tone? I've noticed I have much less muscle tone but much more fat. I recently had 2 epidural steroid injections for back pain. I also had a round of steroid pills of 60mg for 4 days, then 40mg for 4 days, then 30mg for 4 days, etc., until I stepped down...

@ickihun, I'm actually dealing with another issue as well. I just recently had an ACDF, so it's really difficult for me to know what's causing the fatigue. It could be a combination of the BG and the operation. What's ironic is that it was the pre operation clearance is how I found out my BG...

Does high or low blood glucose cause fatigue? My energy level at times is really low. I literally have to go lay down.
