    Rollercoasters and proliferative retinopathy

Hi all, I have had diabetes for 30+ years and have never let diabetes stop me doing anything. Over the last year I have had complications such as proliferative retinopathy and have had multiple laser with injections starting soon. What is the advice about riding rollercoasters with these weak...

    Both eyes PRP laser treatment

Yeah pre treatment 6/6. Post treatment couldn't see past the 3rd line! It has now however solved itself! Friday. 4 days later my sight has returned. After the Dr in the eye hospital confirmed no damage, and to go the opticians, it turns out something sent me short sighted for a period of time!

    Both eyes PRP laser treatment

Went for the checkup. Nothing wrong with the treatment and no explanation to the short sightedness other than "you must be short sighted" going from 2020 vision to this is a shock!

Thank you. I'll call them in the morning. When you say cases of it, are they recoverable/ normal? Or quite unique?

    Both eyes PRP laser treatment

Hi all, I had my first session of PRP laser yesterday around 24hours ago in both eyes. My left eye seems to be back to normal, my right eye is watery and can see close up but has no focus at a distance. I wasn't told anything at the end of my appointment other than he will see me in a few weeks...

    Tresiba

25 years. The first time I have had the data to tell me what's happening for 24hrs rather than 8-12 times a day....

    Tresiba

Over a month now. However my line is much flatter, just the question should it slowly drop, or stay flat all day?

    Tresiba

Hi all, should my dose of tresiba hd my blood sugar flat or slowly drop it over the cause of the day or night? At 11pm my sugars were 10. Woke up at 7 and they where 5. I am seeing through and inbetween meals that my sugars drop slowly. Should I be aiming for flat, and if so should I continue...

    Best control ever

So I thought I would share my last set of libre results. I have never had a hba1c below 7. But with the help of the libre I am on track for drastic improvement. In 25 years of having diabetes and average hba1c results of 7-8% I can finally see where the problems were. Not only that but the...

    No insulin required snacks!

Love cheese.... Especially with wine! Haha. However I do eat too much of it. Beef Jerky sounds good. Is there no sugar in the process?

    No insulin required snacks!

Insulin stacking at the moment as trying to sort out my long acting (tresiba from lantus recently). Carb ratio varies through the day 1 unit for 7 in the morning (before tresiba, dawn phenomenon or foot on the floor!) but that's changing. Afternoon is 1 for 10. Thanks

    No insulin required snacks!

Anyone got any good snacks that require no injections (between meals). To give you a hint I love pork pies, so suggestions of sliced green Peppers are not going to cut it! Haha.

    Daily Carb Consumption

Varies by day, am 74kg. 5.7,so average Height (that's what I tell everyone who says am short......) around 180 grams. But can go as high as 300.... Depending on exercise (cycling to and from work). But also lowers if the dawn phenomenon takes hold!!

    Type 1 and anger

Yes. For no reason at all other than leave me alone as am trying to lower my sugars! As for hypos probably the opposite, I concentrate so hard on eating to fix I don't get as wound up. Probably because high teens are longer and harder to fix on injections than hypos that allow me to eat to fix!

    Coke hypo treatment

Overtreat hypos has always been my drawback. Low is fixed 1.5 later am fighting the highs!
