Best Time of Year to Do the HbA1c Test?

Just had my Hba1c back and I am at 45 down 1 from 46 so still at pre diabetic levels. I was diagnosed type 2 back in June with a Hba1c of 54. Got myself a fitness tracker and drastically reduced the carbs. I am now 3 stones lighter but still need to lose about 60 lbs to get to my goal. In the...

    type 1 or 1.5

Hi Glittersparkles, I think that Type 1.5 is the same as LADA diabetes but I’m sure someone will come along soon and explain the difference. LADA is usually found in older people and a slower onset of diabetes. Hope this helps a little Paula

    Breakfast Ideas Please?!

Hi Emily, which bread are you eating at the moment? I’m a little confused you see. I struggle with bread and cereals but test negative for coeliac disease . However I feel better if I stay away from gluten in general. I find the Livlife Bread is a little friendlier to my stomach. It toasts well...

    Is This Normal?

Hi, I too am recently diagnosed Type 2 as of June 6th and only started metformin a week ago. I am post menopausal but had the first hot flush in about a year last night. I bought the SD codefree meter last week from Home Health’s eBay shop and I’m pleased with it. Plain and simple and does the...
