    Type 2 Semaglutide side effects

I was on 3mg for 30 days, then 7mg for 28 days, by which time I couldn't cope anymore. Constant ache under stomach (pancreas area) and similar issues at 3am for days at a time. In the end, 2 days before moving to 14mg, I stopped and told my diabetic nurse no more!! Worst side effect was it made...

    Metformin SR side effects?

I have found (2000mg a day 2 x 2 tablets) that it is all about timing for SR Metformin. If I take it too much before food, or, too late after food (forgotten in error) it's carnage on the body. If you take it just before, just after or during the meal it's fine.

    Empagliflozin

I've been told I should go on Empagliflozin but my HbA1C is 13+ due to stress, sleep issues and currently recovering from Covid. So, on the back of this, has anyone researched what effect stress and sleep issues has on HbA1C before I sign up for Empag. Thanks!

    Still Confused....

This diabetes type 2 malarkey is very confusing. Told I am T2 in Nov17 with a reading of 15 from a blood test (non fasting). Retested 6 months later (same conditions) after diet changes and increased exercise and dropped to 6.8. Roll forward to having a machine (Accu-chek) at home this last...

Do I Need A Bgm Machine?

Hi @Terrytiddy I've lost 20lb but have plateued since April. Need to lose 45lb more, so still work to do! Still do gym 5 times a week and mix up activities to keep interest including lots of resistance training. I have no idea what foods spike bg, so could be interesting to find out so I know...

Do I Need A Bgm Machine?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if being a diet controlled T2 with 3-6 monthly full blood tests at DRs meant that I don't need a machine. From everything I read on the forum, T1 or T2, everyone seems to have a machine to monitor blood glucose. If the answer is yes, which is the best one to buy or...

Are There Side Effects To Look Out For?

Thanks. Not really deserving of a well done tbh, but I'll take that [emoji2] My advice is simple. Concentrate on one thing at a time and make gradual changes. So, for me, cut out 80% of my bread intake. Then, improve diet and check labels for high % sugar. Avoid all the obviously high sugar...

Are There Side Effects To Look Out For?

Hey Pussyfoot...I was in the same boat 8 months ago. Diet controlled Type 2 (T2). If it helps, I got my HbA1C numbers down from 15 to 6.8 (non fasting) in 3 months by cutting out a lot of bread mainly and upping my gym activity from 3 days a week to 5 days a week. I cannot say that I enjoy being...

Type 2 What Is The Best Exercise Regime For A T2 Newbie To Get Weight Down?

Type 2 What Is The Best Exercise Regime For A T2 Newbie To Get Weight Down?

That's a good idea. I normally have bf at 7:30 then lunch about 2pm after gym. I would have to have a snack mid morning otherwise that's too long? Key seems to be when I am at home. Smaller dinners and no carbs snacks (bye bye crisps) [emoji24]

Type 2 What Is The Best Exercise Regime For A T2 Newbie To Get Weight Down?

I've been trying to lose weight but have plateaued and now have lost interest. I know it's critical for reversing / holding back T2 but am a bit stumped. Low carbs, 1500kcals, weight training, circuit training, cardio, 3L of water it's all a bit aaarrrggghhh. Help! [emoji849]
