Do you think the carbs in fruit are equally as harmful as the carbs in whole wheat bread, rice or pasta for our blood sugars?
Do you use fruits in your low carb diet?
I'm thinking about using some apples or oranges in my breakfast. Not more than 30g of fruit carbs a day.
Thank you! :D
I'm a type 1 since I was 11 years old. It always seemed to me that the typical argument ''you're very young'' or ''you're still growing up'' was just an excuse in order to justify a terrible control of diabetes. I've always heard that young diabetics, specially teenagers, tend to have a much...
I'm a type 1 and I don't understand this question:
Does the amount of fast acting insulin (Novorapid, Humalog) you take has anything to do with the amount of slow acting insulin (Lantus, Levemir) you take?
I'll try to explain myself:
Suppose that a person takes 18 units of slow acting a day, and...
I'm thinking that Novorapid is not convering my meals. My stomach seems to fully empty after Novorapid takes his major action. Can it be gastroparesis? I'm thinking of taking Regular insulin instead of Novorapid.

Don't forget to check your blood...

Hi,
sorry for my bad english, greetings from Spain.
I've been low carbing for more than two years now, since I was 16 approximately. My daily carb count has been always under 30g. Now I'm 18 and I'm studying a degree, but I'm having some problems with my overall energy in the mornings, since I...
I feel that every diabetic has his own sense of where high blood sugars begin. I've noticed that some people say ''It's high'' when they reach 7.8 (140), for others it's plain 7 (126), and others don't talk about high blood sugars until they reach at least 10.
I'd say my limit is 7.2 (130)...
