    Hi all MDI users. How can I reduce my basal insulin need? I've reduced my bolus units nicely. Should I be reducing basal too resulting in more bolus need til I can reduce bolus more again?     Why was I needing 140+units of mixed insulin on a 30g carb diet?

    I've just discovered that insulin is for carb intake only. I'm now wondering why I needed 140+units of mixed insulin on 30g carb pre metformin?
