‘Stop Eating After 7pm’ Challenge

I am very much a second rate manager of type 2 diabetes. However, I largely follow a regime that seems to work for me. Having been on 3 Metformin tablets daily for more than a decade, on Zoe's recommendation, I tried intermittent fasting. I ought to eat a hearty breakfast and shut down my carbohydrate intake in the early evening. I don't. Sadly, since the death of my partner, I now live on my own. I try hard not to break my fast until around 2:30pm. I then get on with my life. I regularly meet up with friends; often in a pub. I actually enjoy beer; certainly too much beer! Nevertheless, I have been able to reduce my Metformin intake from 3 tablets daily to zero. I now still have something of a social life and yet manage to avoid stressing my inner organs with Metformin. It's a compromise, but one that has worked for me for quite a whil.
