‘Stop Eating After 7pm’ Challenge

Evening all

This was day 10 for me. Again, we settled for a leisurely supper well before 18.00 and I'm still feeling pleasantly full.

Clearly, this approach has worked wonders for some of us and it's great to see.

Not working for me so gave up, seems like others always have superdooper readings despite what methods. Me, I just slog away with the exercise/diet and still get naff numbers, I would rather not bother :banghead:

Finished at 6:20 last night. Apart from coffee and a bit of cheese at lunch time, dinner was my first proper meal of the day. I was very hungry and as a result I definitely over ate, so won’t be doing that again.

I’m carrying on with this challenge as it suits me and it’s stopping my mindless snacking!

Finished at 5:40 tonight. I nearly cut myself a bit of cheese as I was tidying the kitchen and stacking dishwasher. I‘d left it out on the counter  just goes to show how this can be done without thinking.

Tired and emotional tonight. Thinking of ice cream. But remembering how I do manage not to eat most evenings, and even carry on the fast longer in the mornings. I want to keep my bg low, and my weight low so not going to let my low mood interfere. My feelings are not hunger!

This was day 11 for me and I haven't faltered ... yet.

I think this timing of the evening meal is a sensible approach (combined with low carb eating, obviously) for those type 2s striving to lower BG readings.

For me, it’s not so much the time I finish my supper but more the fact that I do not eat anything again afterwards, until the next day. If I have a late supper for whatever reason, I will start my non-fasting window that much later the next day to compensate.

This challenge, which I am carrying on as well, is keeping me on track with that.

This was day 12 for me and I see no reason to stop at the mo.

Having the last meal of the day earlier in the evening (combined with low carbing, obviously) makes sense for those type 2s striving to lower their BG readings.

My own experience is, after having done a no eating, and no drinking calorific drinks after sunset, 5 days a week - for quite a long time now, is that it is very good for weight loss maintenance. Sadly, keeping fat off of my waist (where it loves to be stored I take it) does not equate to good blood glucose readings. I wish it did, but no.

Yeah - the nothing other than herb teas and sparkly water after sunset thing (5 days - I need a weekend for social eating and drinking), cuts down on the snacks, and absolutely - alcoholic beverages - both which are high energy food and drink (low carb is a given). So keeping body-fat storage in check, it does for me, for sure.

And again - I could not maintain it for as long as I have, and it's been a while, if I didn't have Friday and Saturday/2 social nights, off.
