The term “new normal “
Doc pulled me off blood pressure medication. So I’m drug free. He recommended a statin, but nah, not yet.

I’ve decided to fire my doctor. If all he’s going to do is run though the reference numbers and push medications. Since I have to self pay. I can just go to a private lab and look at the ranges myself. I can just go in if something is way off.

He didn’t even look at my past lipids and which are quite inside the range. I know I can work this from my diet and exercise

Great stuff, taking control of your own health is awesome. I went on a diabetes education course thus week, more on that in another post.

Is your avatar Thanos, this is what I call my glucose monitor.

Great A1c @LaoDan
I see your fasting is pre-diabetic @ 6.0 which makes your A1c even more impressive.
Is dawn phenomenon still at play ?

Thanks, foot on the floor this morning was 4.8. So I probably do have some DP issues to resolve. Also, it’s about 40 minutes by subway and a couple km walk to the doctors office. By the time I get there, my heart rate is up and probably my stress levels.

doc uses my last 14 days of blood pressure and glucose levels. I actually thought it was going to be much much higher as I went on vacation and went off plan. Kinda why I’m not bothered with the lipid panel.

Pretty happy with my progress, though I’m not 100% where I want to be. I’m still carrying around some fat. I’ve bounced around 18-22% body fat. I need to push to around 15% by this time next year.

That explains the elevated fasting so, same thing happened me once.
I decided to walk the dog on the morning of my blood draw & was a full 1mmol/L higher than I normally saw on my meter.
