2014/15 Football Season

I've just come back from watching my younger son playing footie. It's 8 years since I last did that. (he's 24)

Some things have changed in those 8 years.

Gone are the blue and green streaks in the hair. A few tattoos now.
No half time oranges. Half time ciggies instead.
No playing on the swings at the playground afterwards. Off to the pub afterwards now.
So much swearing at U14's to U16's levels. Not so much now, maybe I'm just getting older and deafer.:)

The game was quite entertaining. The referee was good! Our side gave away a penalty but won 3-0. It was definitely worth going to watch, I'll go again next time I'm invited.:) A very short journey home too.

Another defeat, ho hum, played quite well but no goal scorer!
Watching boring England, twenty mins in no shots yet!

Hey everyone, sorry I've been away for a while, real busy at work!

Don't get me started on England, absolutely shocking, the result flattered us hugely, why can't we play like Scotland and Ireland did last night?

2-0 to Scotland on Tuesday........

There's no passion! I honestly think that they see it as a break from the premiership. But international footie is negative in the extreme!
I think a draw is the likely result. Good to see some of the youngsters getting a go. Still don't think that England are just not good enough for the top ten or even close to it!

Here we go with this weeks predictions,
Home wins for Chelsea, Leicester, Man c, Newcastle, Swansea, arsenal, Huddersfield & rovers!
Away wins for Leeds. Blackpool to keep their record going!
Everton & hammers to draw!

Thanks for saying that we will beat the Wendies today :) I hope we do but alas i wont be watching on telly cos am in Bolton most of the day :(

Good luck to Rovers hope they can pick 3 points up and get moving up that table

Hmmm not brilliant results for me today :( My son's team lost as well ( 4-2 ) AND he has a swollen ankle now :(

That 8 mins extra time was nail biting, but we got there in the end :)

You were always going to! grrrrrr. :) I loved the comment on the BBC website when ManU got their 2nd...." Man U have had one shot and..... two goals" Same old Arsenal:(

A good entertaining game for the neutral to watch. I wanted both teams to lose so that qualifies me as neutral.

I have to wonder what the score would have been if De Gea had not managed to recover from his injury and take the field. He has been United's best player whenever I've seen them play this season.

Incredible when you think back to the disastrous start to his United career.

Just glad I am not an Arsenal fan. Sorry @zand). They play brilliant football but just can not score and then they shoot themselves in the foot like they did yesterday.

Gibbs deflection was unlucky for Arsenal but fortunate for Man U.

Rovers were shocking and deserve to be bottom! Schoolboy defending. Southend outside chance of promotion. After last weeks win, my youth team got a 2-0 lesson in footie. Against the top of the league. Poor first half better second half. :(:arghh:
