2014/15 Football Season

I have a soft spot for Tranmere cos they were always a team whose eesults I looked out forcas a kid (we all had one of those random teams right?).

Plus when my son was 5 he was picked to take part in a penalty shootout, junior lions v Prenton pups. He was the youngest on the pitch at the New Den and scored all his 3 penalties.
Think I was there! Was it the cup game? Too many beers then!
No longer Prenton Pups but junior Superwhites.

We are not Liverpudlian!

Do not be mistaken,
Do not be misled,
We are not scousers,
We are from Birkenhead!

That is a reply to all the stupid scouse songs that apply to 'those' over the water, which are chanted regularly against us!

If you said Merseysiders, then you would have been correct.
Eek! Sorry - is this the North Western equivalent of lumping Newcastle and Sunderland together, as Geordies? I've done that too ...... :)

Sheff Utd 1 Swindon 2 I watched the last 25 mins of the game and quite frankly Sheff utd werent taking their chances they had plenty of em but just couldnt make owt of em. Swindon scored the winning goal wow it seemed to come from nowhere. Swindon half way there now.Lets see what happens on Monday night.

Preston 1 Chesterfield 0

Good win for Boro last night.Hopefully they will win next Friday night as well and go down to Wembley.

Well Lee Clarke has resigned from Blackpool. He should never have gone there in the first place. Wonder what will become of them now unless they get rid of that Oyston family they arent really gunna do well at all.

Burnley have been relegated from the Premier League after one season despite a victory over Hull.

I reckon QPR are going too. Whos gunna join em i wonder guess that will be revealed either next week or the week after.

Well I agree with @semiphonic . Man Utd will win the Premiership this season, they have less games to play than the other big names as they aren't in Europe. So I'm saying ManU, Man City, Chelsea .......and please, please Arsenal 4th and Spurs 5th....then all will be well with the world! :)

You got the top 4 right, but in wrong order! @zand

My money's on Hull, particularly after Leicester's performance yesterday.

In time-honoured fashion, Saints are working hard at snatching disaster from the jaws of triumph . :(

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...................................

I almost feel sorry for Alistair Campbell: first of all, Labour lose the election, then Burnley go for the drop.

Almost ....... :)

He is the Eric Morecambe of football pundits.
lol. To save confusion later on I should let you know that I'm female, but nearly everyone has called me a bloke on this thread (and some others too). I kinda like it. :) And I love the sketch too. :)

A woman on a footie thread?
Aaaaaggghhhh!
Can you understand the offside rule?;):):angelic:

If you do can you explain it to me!:(

It's probably the first and second phases part! (Of the moon?)

Or wether the offside player is taking an advantage!

Or is it one defender and goalie?

Then again, do the officials really know it?

Help!!!!!!!

The law will change soon. It has too.

It will be when an offside player touches the ball, he will be deemed offside.
Even if he is interfering, until he touches the ball.

Help!!

What if he touched the ball because it's deflected off a defender? Will it have to be actually played forward to him for him to be offside.? I preferred the old rule, much simpler. But then I am only a woman :)
