2015/16 Football Season

Yep. This household isn't very happy either. Still, when we have a good start to the season we usually finish 4th, when we have a bad start we finish 3rd. Losing 2-0 at home to West Ham is a very bad start.

Dont panic Zand its only the first game still another 36 games to play :)

Most of the Arsenal supporters left the ground before the game was over. Not happy bunnies at all were they :D:D

I hate that. I know fans want to send a message but in fans I just don't approve. You stand by your team no matter what. If you don't like it, make noise, wave hankies (a real madrid thing) but don't leave. West Ham played well.

Yes I hate that too. My view is if I am going to pay that much to see a game, then I want to see it all, no matter how bad it is.

Hope won't be that long, but, we will have to improve on yesterday's performance, as you probably know sometimes points are more valuable than performance, both both would be nice!
Hope your lot don't pass us on the way up!
We went down to the Conf with York we managed to bounce right back via the play offs (York took a lot longer) So many ex league clubs down there all trying to get back into the league fold so competition from them is intense, then you have the Dover's and FGR's (no offence) who have yet to taste the Football League dreaming of bashing ex leaguers at any opportunity.

Life in the conf is tough nosher, but try to keep the faith and come back soon

If we drop into the conf then so be it we will have done so all by ourselves

DUFC managed to get the season started, 0-2 at Motherwell, gifted first goal and second was a breakaway with goalie up for a corner. Simon Murray scored his first goal fo DUFC, which is always good for a new lad.
It's going to be a tough season I'm thinking.

Having witnessed the biggest load of rubbish that graced my beloved Prenton Park.
Anything is an improvement!
With new owners and no debt, we are favourites but under no illusions that it would take something extraordinary in our history to achieve promotion.
A willingness to compete is one thing that I have been looking forward to and has been missing for so long!

Onwards and upwards!

Thanks for the link Zand

Interesting to read FGR's ambitions to get into the FL

How long have you supported them? Do you get to any matches?
Good luck for the season

I don't get to many FGR matches nowadays maybe 2 or 3 a season. We used to go quite a lot when our sons were kids. So I suppose we've been following them for about 20 years. We even went to away matches too when Jimmy Harvey was manager, because the football was so good. Intricate passing, great football, excitement, not bad defending either. I liked Jimmy Harvey a lot lol :)

I'm afraid going to watch Arsenal (normally away matches only because the singing and atmosphere is better ) has taken over now. Arsenal has always been my hubby's team since he was a kid and he never had the chance to watch them then, so it's good that we can now.

Hopefully going to FGR in October with the Superwhitearmy!

Will be interesting!

For some reason the gap have been an unwelcome place to visit.

Was there for the Turnips last Watford game!

I love non league football. We often go to Welling and Bromley who are our local Conference teams (prefer Bromley cos parking is easier). We used to follow Maidstone Utd back in the day when they got promoted to the league back in 89.

We're hoping to catch a few of Torquays games when they're up this way cos our friend has just signed for them.

Cup matches tonight , forest have Walsall at home, after Fridays poor performance , forest need to win
