2016/17 Football Season

Not a good weekend all round, despite the national team winning!

My youth team just can't win, ho hum!
Look at it like this: They may not always win, but they wouldn't be playing at all if it weren't for people like you giving up your time to coach them.

That's got to be a winner :)

And the powers that be are making it so hard for coaches to coach, because of the rules and regulations you have to follow! The cost to become a manager these days is ridiculous!
There has been recently in our area, a whole league disbanded because of lack of coaches and the infrastructure of the teams in that league.

In Liverpool, a hotbed for talent, has seen the number of players reduced in the adult leagues by over sixty percent in the last twenty years.

And yes, when you see kids that you have coached do well , it is worth it!

Merseyside, London and the North East hotbeds for English talent

Totally agree!
Chelsea asked the fa, if they could set up an academy on the outskirts of Liverpool.
The fa told them politely. No!

England were robbed last night. That ref want's hanging he was too slow in blowing the final whistle which allowed Spain to equalize again. It was scored a few seconds after the added on 5 mins.:rolleyes:
Good job it was only a friendly eh :D

Oh dear you got a cold as well then. :(
We are away to Cardiff this Saturday.Seeing as they are near the bottom we ought to thrash them.

And we lose another game.:( we went 3-1 down at half time and came back to 3-2 but ran out of steam. Reading won and over take us. Birmingham won to go right behind us and Norwich lost. Its getting tough up there now.

Well done Carlisle and Tranmere both notched up wins. :):)

We took a point off Liverpoo, which was good but, at nil-nil, it doesn't sound like the most mesmerising game of the season :)

Everton next, which will be entertaining; I think there might be some banter from the Saints fans, aimed at Ronald Koemann :D

I thought we had Sparta Prague on Thursday in the Europa League but as it happens, it's Hapoel Be'er Sheva at St Marys (Sparta have Inter Milan , which should be a good match).
