2016/17 Football Season

We've got Everton tomorrow, at St Marys - the second fixture of Scousers' Month :) Not sure how it's going to go, tbh, but it would be nice to beat them, given that they nicked Ronald Koeman from us in the summer .

Well, we beat them :) one-nil.

Apparently Ronnie K. got a "mixed" reception from the fans.

Nice to see Josh Sims setting up Charlie Austin's winning goal on his debut. The Saints Academy strikes again! (Though no doubt lots of the big clubs will now be preparing to do their usual "we-can't-develop-our-own-talent-so-we're-going-to-steal-someone-else's" routine) :(.

Come on, The Terriers! :)

We blew it once again. Lost 1-2. Slipped down to 6th place and need to beat Blackburn on Saturday or we could drop out of the top 6.

Good Luck Tranmere hope you win tonight :)

Gordon Bennett! Saints 2, Arsenal 0: I really wasn't expecting that.

Saints' first appearance in a League Cup semi-final since the 1980s, if I recall correctly. Now all we've got to do is beat Liverpoo and we're in the final. How hard can it be? :D
Well - probably quite hard, actually, but still .......

.....

lol I was expecting that! Saints have done pretty well against Arsenal in recent years. Thankfully I didn't go to that match...we went on Sunday instead. :) Well done, I hope you get to the final. Please get to the final. You must get to the final.....Just do it eh? ;)

Another scrappy 1-0 win on Tuesday v the heed!
But three points and join FGR in second place! (Sorry @zand!)
Really tight as there are teams flying at the moment!

Home to York on Saturday and they are rubbish in the last few weeks!
So that means it will be awful to watch!
We have drawn Wrexham (again) in the fa trophy!

Hope everyone's team does well at the weekend!

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than for Saints to beat Liverpool - mind you, about half their team (OK; slight exaggeration :)) came from St Mary's in the first place.

It's about time we made the final of a major competition - the last time was the FA Cup Final in 2003 in the days of Gordon Strachan so I shall be hoping for the best......

Good Luck today everyone hope you all get a win :)
Carlisle hope you beat Rochdale and make the 3rd round you may draw us :D

Blackburn rovers for us today up at Ewood Park. Hopefully a win we need it badly.

Newcastle got beat 2-1 by Forest last night left it wide open for Brighton to get top.

Thanks John

Rochdale won't be easy for us we're scoring plenty but shipping quite a few as well

Good luck v Blackburn

Good luck everyone this weekend except Man United

Crystal Palace away, today. Ought to be easy, so we'll probably struggle :).

Alan Pardew was sacked by us as Manager - rather unfairly, many thought - so he'll be looking for a result for that reason, as well as because it will keep Palace out of the drop zone.

... but this is no place for sentiment :) Come on, Saints!

Lost but they deserved it in all honesty

This must be one of the nicest views in English football

There goes another 3 points. Gave a damned penalty away and thus drew 1-1 :( 29 chances as well.
Leeds kick off at 5:30 so if they just draw they will shove us down to 8th place  Has the great slide gathered a bit more momentum :mad: i hope not. Transfer window looking imminent

Bad luck to Carlisle :(

Well done Tranmere :)

Three-nil to Palace: that's really poor  though I did say that we would probably struggle. Perhaps I should set up in competition to Mystic Meg.

I'm off to sulk for a while .......
