Well!
Something strange is happening around Prenton Park!
We have not witnessed anything like this for such a long time.
Indeed, it is now over five years since we used the equipment necessary for this weekend.
It is not a nice time, to be where I've been today and to say, I am feeling it, is an understatement!
The other problem is that we play in this colour and we haven't got what was necessary back in the days, an orange ball!
We will clash with the pitch, the ball, the weather but fortunately the seats are blue!
So far an inch or more has laid onto the pitch and if it was a Christmas film or something from the winter Olympics, we would be happy.
But unfortunately the weather has produced something that is usually only found in the remotest areas of our fair land such as Yorkshire or Cumbria. The person whoever ordered our weather in sunny Prenton needs to be admonished if not sacked.
We are so ill prepared, the football gods will not be happy with our game being in jeopardy and I know there are a few praying for either of the scenarios.
I will have like today, have about ten layers of winter clothing regardless of the temperature, even if it gets around 5 degrees, which is usually the coldest it gets around here! We are breaking records. This can't happen!
Imagine a white Christmas, that is just too much and would really spoil things, except those that believe in such things as the white stuff falling on Christmas eve. Ha!
Just too much excitement for the kids, they might want to go taboggining or skiing.
There was a sports shop that sold winter sports gear once, it soon went bankrupt!
One of the staff asked what a blizzard was? We had to Google it!
Anyway, we have an inspection in the morning depending on how much snow, (we were amazed of how the white stuff can come down so heavy!!!!!) Still can't believe it turns everything white!
The forecast is not good, it's not like the seventies, when you brushed the lines and bought an orange ball! Bloody modern footballers! Prima donnas the lot of them. Stopped training cos of a bit of hail! (Wusses!)
Good luck to all our teams and keep warm you lot!
