2017/2018 Football Season

Looking at the FA cup draw we got lumbered with Bolton at theirs. Should be an easy one but with cup games you never really know. I cant see us putting a decent team up we need key players for the league matches.

A home tie with Sheff Weds if Carlisle can over come the Gills next week. Fingers crossed for you Cumberland. :)

We've got Fulham at Craven Cottage. Could be a tricky one - they're not exactly on fire at the moment, but they've won more games than us recently  :D.

Well!
Something strange is happening around Prenton Park!
We have not witnessed anything like this for such a long time.
Indeed, it is now over five years since we used the equipment necessary for this weekend.
It is not a nice time, to be where I've been today and to say, I am feeling it, is an understatement!

The other problem is that we play in this colour and we haven't got what was necessary back in the days, an orange ball!
We will clash with the pitch, the ball, the weather but fortunately the seats are blue!
So far an inch or more has laid onto the pitch and if it was a Christmas film or something from the winter Olympics, we would be happy.

But unfortunately the weather has produced something that is usually only found in the remotest areas of our fair land such as Yorkshire or Cumbria. The person whoever ordered our weather in sunny Prenton needs to be admonished if not sacked.
We are so ill prepared, the football gods will not be happy with our game being in jeopardy and I know there are a few praying for either of the scenarios.
I will have like today, have about ten layers of winter clothing regardless of the temperature, even if it gets around 5 degrees, which is usually the coldest it gets around here! We are breaking records. This can't happen!
Imagine a white Christmas, that is just too much and would really spoil things, except those that believe in such things as the white stuff falling on Christmas eve. Ha!
Just too much excitement for the kids, they might want to go taboggining or skiing.
There was a sports shop that sold winter sports gear once, it soon went bankrupt!

One of the staff asked what a blizzard was? We had to Google it!

Anyway, we have an inspection in the morning depending on how much snow, (we were amazed of how the white stuff can come down so heavy!!!!!) Still can't believe it turns everything white!

The forecast is not good, it's not like the seventies, when you brushed the lines and bought an orange ball! Bloody modern footballers! Prima donnas the lot of them. Stopped training cos of a bit of hail! (Wusses!)

Good luck to all our teams and keep warm you lot!

Forgot to add, it should be Torquay tomorrow!
They won't like the drop in temperature from the English Riviera! (Ha!)

Football day again and our lot are home to Brighton which we need to win really cos we are struggling and well all we can do is hope those below us have a bad day and lose.

Hope everyone else who are playing get a good result and if you is going to a match wrap up warm. :)

2-0 winners that'll do for me we sure did need that. UTT :)

3-3 draw for Carlisle must have been some match.
Tranmere currently 3-0 up and hopefully stay that way. :)
I'd call that a result :)

Well done, the Terriers. We've got the **** tomorrow, so I think you will retain your superiority over us for this weekend, at least.

So, now that I've thawed out (a little!)
We actually never got the weather predicted by all and sundry and we had a very good win (in the end) by 3-0.
It was really nip and tuck at one nil and it wasn't until we scored the second after 80 minutes that the nerves quietened.
Up to ninth now only a good win to be in the playoffs positions.
No midweek game and away to Solihull in the cup Saturday!

Good win by the udders and a decent draw by the cumbrians.

Derby day tomorrow, weather is really dreadful for both the Manchester and Merseyside games. Apparently ten inches of snow predicted to fall overnight!

Today's forecast was wrong, what is the odds it is again tomorrow?

Keep warm, keep safe!

Not a bad weekend for our teams this weekend

I'd call that a result :)

Cheers mate. You drew 1-1 with Arsenal so you go back ahead of us on goal diff.
