2017/2018 Football Season

No.

We are a car crash of a club at the moment. Too many wasters still at the club.

Once these are shipped out and funds released we may kick on, but knowing Safc some disaster is just around the corner.

Lets hope they prove you wrong and you make it back up.

Arsenal are playing Sydney FC here in Australia tonight, and West Sydney Wanderers on Saturday. both games televised on SBS 2 (Viceland).
Yep, my cousin was there last night :) We took her and her hubby to see Arsenal v Manchester City when they visited us last season, and now they are gooners for life. :D

@ Zand what about your other team (Leeds) are you going to have a good season with your new manager ? maybe next year you'll come and join us in the Prem. Assuming we don't go make a pigs ear of it and come straight back down lol. Hopefully our new squad will keep us outta trouble. UTT :D:D

Im a Sunderland fan and I'm sorr of looking forward to the new season. It cannot be as bad as the last one, can it?

We appointed a steady away manager in Grayson and he is going to have to work miracles with what he's been left with squad wise. The club needs a total rebuild after years of mismanagement at all levels.

A new striker or 3 wouldn't go a miss as all we have is 2 youth centre forwards at the moment.
Good luck this season - Sunderland belong in the Prem and, besides, any club that plays in a red and white strip has to have something going for it! :D

Cheers everyone.

We've just signed Aiden Mcgeady and James Vaughan for circa 500k and 900k respectively.

Not a bad price for Mcgeady. Just hope we can add some more quality as the squads threadbare.

Mighty Interesting fixtures we have Friendly wise.

Tomorrow away to Bury Lets whack the buggers :D
Then next Tuesday SV Sandhausen at BWT Stadium Now where is Sanhausen I wonder ? :D
Then comes an away trip to Oakwell next Saturday Yorky derby lets whack the Tykes :D:D
Then we are home to Udinese on Weds 26th July
Then on Tue 1st August back on the plane face VfB Stuttgart
And finally on Friday 4th August a road trip to Torino FC and back on the plane to our dear little country :D

Then comes the big kick off at Selhurst Park Sat 12th August. Seems a bit daft going abroad for 1 game them coming back for 2 home games and then back abroad for 2 more games. Shame they couldn't plan it so all 3 abroad games followed each other. At this rate the team will be in need of an holiday before the start of the season :D:D

You mean like Sheffield United

Its taken Sheffield United all their time to get in the Championship wonder if they can do the double and come join us in the Prem next year :D (Notice the little vote of confidence in the mighty Terriers to stay up) :D:D Seriously I think we can narrowly avoid the drop given the strength of our new and partly existing squad. I hope they wont disappoint us. UTT :D

My son is hoping that Sheffield United get promoted next year - he's abroad for the coming academic year but he will be back in Sheffers in September 2018 and would like to be able to see Saints playing somewhere nearby.

- That's assuming Saints are still in the Prem, of course  :)

Good luck to the Terriers. You can do it!

Thanks and good luck to the Saints and Sheff Utd :)

After the drubbing we got from the rednoses on Wednesday, we have just done the same to Cammell Lairds.
It was either 11 or 12- nil.
Our new signings did really well, not looking too bad!

Ashton next Saturday!

11 or 12 Nil is a Rugby score :D

Sportverein Sandhausen 1916 e.V., commonly known as simply SV Sandhausen or Sandhausen, is a German association football club that plays in Sandhausen, immediately to the south of Heidelberg in Baden-Württemberg.

Good Old Google answered my question :D:D
