Most clubs are doing something, my own has varied schemes going to help those who are needed to, mostly through the ' In the community's' FA scheme.

"Difficult decisions will have to be taken" to counter the financial impact of coronavirus on English football, say the Premier League, EFL and Professional Footballers' Association.

All games have been postponed until at least 30 April and will only resume "when it is safe and conditions allow".

A Premier League, EFL and PFA statement said their thoughts "continue to be with everyone affected by the virus".

"We have agreed to work together to arrive at shared solutions," it added.

Further meetings were set for next week "with a view to formulating a joint plan to deal with the difficult circumstances facing the leagues, their clubs, players, staff and fans".

Premier League clubs were already due to meet again on 3 April, when it is almost certain the current postponement of all matches until 30 April will be extended again.

That could take it past the official end of the EFL league season and towards the last round of Premier League fixtures, which was supposed to be on 17 May.

It's only now we realize how much sport plays in our lives.
It's why the Romans used to have all the Gladiator fights and Chariot Racing.
It keeps the natives calm and more controllable.
That's why they are desperate to get it going again.
A few days of staying indoors is manageable but ask them to do it for a few months?
With no sport. We all don't like Soap Opera's

Just waiting for it to be over, mate!

Keep safe mate.

Yeah hopefully it wont be too long before it is all over. But I think we could be looking at another 6 months or so. Keep safe everyone and please stay home this Easter.

I now think that league matches will resume late June, early July.
New season to start in October with a revised calendar of fixtures to coincide with next summer's competitions.

Think training will resume in middle of June.

Keep safe mate!

The English Football League season can be completed in 56 days when it is safe to resume amid the coronavirus pandemic, clubs have been told.

But it is assumed that matches will be played behind closed doors.

A letter sent to all 71 EFL clubs by chairman Rick Parry, and obtained by the BBC, said no training should resume until at least 16 May.

The EFL is hopeful the campaign can finish in the summer, but there is no indication when it might begin again.

I guess that remains to be seen. It would be nice if it could be finished and Leeds will get their promotion albeit behind closed doors and hopefully we will miss the drop to League 1. Keep watching this space. Have a great Easter everyone and stay safe and stay at home.

Best part is the EFL are telling players to take their holiday now. How can they do that when they cant jet off anywhere.

Stay safe mate. :)

RIP Peter Bonnetti :(.

R.I.P
One of the best agile keepers of the sixties, seventies, in amongst all of the other great English keepers around that time. Seen him in brilliant form at both Goodison and Anfield!

Could be a few more with this covid.
