2023/24 Football Season.

Big weekend arrives. Tomorrow we face Watford and really do need to beat them. We are eagerly awaiting the January transfer window but there's 12 games to come before that. 36 points up for grabs. We need to grab as many as possible. That would leave us with 20 games after the New years day game. I know it sounds a lot and we have to remain optomistic.
Good luck to all our teams in action this weekend.

FA cup tomorrow v Stevenage away.
Our interim manager is now permanent manager on a two and a half year contract. Yikes!
Hopefully that will turn out league from around.
Gotta feeling we won't be in the bag for round two on Monday or whenever!

Good luck to all our teams. The kids footie around here had been washed out! Bloody weather!

At home tomorrow to Inverness Cal.... now managed by an old player of ours, Duncan Ferguson, who then went on to do quite well south of the border.
Always loved his attitude, great first touch and battering center halves in the air.
Three points would be good.

Good luck to our teams and stay safe.

0-0 draw. Not really a good game or so I'm told. Both teams were poor so it's a fair result I suppose. Rotherham v QPR was also a draw. So the table stays as it is. Next game for us Down the other end of the M62 to Hull next Saturday. Need something from that one.

We lost with last kick of game. 4-3. Some positives but conceding so many is the reason we are in relegation trouble!
at least we scored some!

onwards to FGR next Saturday and we need a win! Big six pointer!

Oh dear that's not good though as you say you scored some goals. Hopefully things will get better.

Home to our old pals, FGR. @zand And a relegation six pointer as well!
It's a must win, after six straight losses!

Good luck to all our teams.

Fingernails bitten down to the knuckles already!

Away at Dunfermline last night, took 3,000 through even though it was on BBC Scotland.
won 1-2, not great but mostly in control. Young Fotheringham scored again the winner was a beauty, real drop of shoulder to send two defenders off somewhere else and then a blast, goalie probably should have done better.

Good luck to HT and TR, fingers are crossed and will be keeping an eye on the scores as they come it.

You come across as a bit blase, as if you should have battered them and expecting it!
Ha!
Still a great result. A win is a win, is a win and three points.

Just a win will do for us!

Good luck mate. Actually I haven't seen zand in ages.
I'm not posting much nowadays but I'm still around. :) I do read this thread from time to time.

Re footy - I am enjoying playing it more than I like talking about it lol. I'm not feeling great mentally. It's nearly 2 years since I first (attempted):hilarious: to kick a ball at walking football practice. I was playing twice a week but one of those sessions has been cancelled now.

Went to St James' Park last week. It was a very late night and I'm still suffering the after effects.

Hope you're OK John?

Well done mate.
