Hi there anyone on a cocktail of metformin 1000mg jardiance 10mg and aloglipton 25mg ?
Hi and welcome to the forum. I've never taken any medication for diabetes myself because I preferred to fix it the same way I got it in the first place - by what I ate.
I ate to the NHS guidelines to get diabetes and so ate Low Carb in order to put it into remission. My HbA1C figure is now in the 'normal' range.

Metformin is the most used drug for Type2 diabetes.
Jardiance is an SGLT2 inhibitor which makes you pee out excess sugar and is quite common, though many don't like the possible side effects.
Alogliptin is a newer class of drug (I think) , so not so common. It can take up to 18 weeks for it to make much difference to blood glucose. Again some people don't like the possible side effects.

That seems like a lot, how long since you were diagnosed and what are your test results?

Like Ian, I did low carb instead of more drugs - going low carb was very effective.

The Gliptin family of drugs (DPP4 inhibitors) suppress an enzyme that in turn suppresses insulin production which means your insulin is produced for longer. It reduces BS spikes. I would query the last post about this drug as I believe it works almost immediately. I was on Sitagliptin for a few years.
