So, I do not really know if it is good or not but 7 months ago I was surprised to find myself with an HBA1c of 103mmol/mol. I started on insulin, and here on this forum discovered that lots of diabetics have a carb low diet. Kenny and Jo pointed me in that direction. It took 5.5 months to get down to 36mmol/mol with a combination of SLGT2, Fiasp, and Tresiba, along with the low carb diet. Now at 7 months in I find that my A1c is still 36mmol/mol. I had a Libre 2 for two weeks and saw the pattern that my BG was taking, and after wearing the sensor, I have dropped my Fiasp to 8 units a day to raise my BG, I also stopped taking the Tresiba basal insulin, due to hypo's while I was sleeping. I am likely to taper off all insulin as my finger test BG shows fairly low BG, and I am dealing with the hypo's quite well with reduced insulin.
I have seen over these months that for me it may be possible to reverse type 2 diabetes. Somehow everything has started working again.
