A couple of questions on abbreviations & fasting

Been off cooking lately, possibly due the heat , but loved the above recipes.

i have two questions,one I’ve asked before but can’t find the page again , a list of what all the abrevations mean?

and when people talk about fasting , how long do they mean ?

Fasting for me means usually 15-18 hours not eating in each 24 hour period, running from around 7pm the night before through to maybe 1-2 pm (ham and cheese at this point today) and occasionally 24 hours, evening meal to evening meal.

That's fairly routine and standard for me at this point. I'm "fasting" only because I'm not hungry. If I was hungry I'd eat.

I know I often scratch my head wondering.
I think CWC means coffee with cream?
SRSLY is a brand name of low carb foods sold commercially.
TWAM is, I think, tea with almond milk?

Perhaps some of the regular posters in that thread will help out. So tagging some of them. @Rachox, @shelley262 , @LivingLightly , @Antje77 , @filly , @AndBreathe , @IanBish , @PenguinMum .

Thanks for the tag @Pipp, the only abbreviations I use on the linked thread, are LC = low carb and DGF = Deliciously Guilt Free, a company that sells all sorts of low carb baked goods and chocolate.
 
Some abbreviations when it comes to fasting that come to mind immediately are:

IF - intermittent fasting, sometimes alongside hours of fasting/eating as in 18:6 means fasting for 18 hours and eating within 6 hour window you yourself define. Generally, people tend to skip breakfast and eat lunch/dinner.
TRE - time restricted eating, the same concept as IF
ADF - alternate day fasting
OMAD - one meal a day
TMAD - two meals a day

There is no specific plan that works for everyone. You really need to discover what works for you.

Dr Jason Fung has several books on fasting, I found Life in the Fasting Lane the most accessible and pragmatic.
